Wusthof 18 cm Cooks Knife, Black, steel

As always one of the best professional kitchen knives used the world over by Michelin star chefs, and for good reason the blade is as sharp as a razor it's full tang and very strong, every good kitchens work horse

I bought this for my dad as a gift as he is an amateur but very good chef. I was concerned initially that when I tried cutting a lime, it didn't go through it as easily as I would have thought. My dad however, who has been using it for about 6 weeks now, is very pleased with it and it's sharpness. He is the house cook, he should know!

After doing my research on knives, I bought this one as a series of new kitchen knives and they are amazing. Razor sharp, perfectly weighted and very well made. As a result I have gone out and bought more. They make all our old ones look like butter knives and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. A word of warning though, it's very easy to cut through the user if you're not very careful!

The build quality of the knife is great, and it seems to hold a blade really well. Makes a good all-round cooks knife for daily use. I would advise cooks with bigger hands to get something with a deeper blade, as my knuckles can catch the board when I'm chopping.

Super sharp and well balanced all purpose knife. Get the Wusthof sharpener to go with it as that will keep the correct blade angle. Look after the knife by hand washing only and it will last and last. A superb piece of kitchen equipment.

My knife broke in two at metal close to handle last year. I was very happy with knife until then.

Overall, very satisfied with the knife. It gives you the latest product from the Wusthof so EXPECT it not to be the same as the picture but It certainly is a genuine product. Sharp, Easy to hold, Well-balanced.
