Winsor & Newton Cotman 8ml Water Colour Tube - Payne's Gray

Great quality paint for watercolour- this brand is definitely my favourite and I love how dynamic this particular colour is- it is definitely the colour I use the most in my artwork as it can be applied in so many different ways to add depth of tone or shadow (instead of using a much flatter colour such as black). A little goes a very long was as well, making it a very good investment if you are a regular water colourist. If you are a beginner to watercolour, I would also strongly recommend this for a limited/ starter palette alongside the primary colours as it really is such a versatile shade and creates great monotone paintings too. The tube and lid are very secure and very portable making it a good option for outdoor painting too.

I regret not getting the 21mm size now as this colour has become so used in my work. It is a seriously good pigment and versatile.

J'utilise généralement de l'aquarelle extra fine. Par curiosité, j'ai commandé cette nuance en qualité fine et sincèrement surprise par la qualité du pigment ! ( pour cette nuance difficile de faire la différence entre la qualité fine et extra fine)

Se penso agli acquerelli Cotman mi viene in mente la parola ‘affidabile’. Per essere una linea studio di acquerelli la trovo ottima, molto pigmentati sia il colore in tubo che in demigodet. Il prezzo su Amazon è un po’ alto a dire la verità, ma abitando in provincia dove non ci sono negozi di belle arti alla fine mi è convenuto acquistare su Amazon piuttosto che il trasporto in città per l’acquisto in negozio. Il rosso cadmio è uno dei miei colori preferiti, probabilmente passerò a comprare il tubo da 21 ml.
