MagliteMini AA LED Torch

Good flashlight.

Not going to compete with the big boys of the torch world, but an excellent result for what is little more than a pen light and with the Maglite built to last quality. A true pocket torch.

The Maglite AA led is the only flashlight i purchase now and i have had a few types and makes over the years, the thing i like is the build quality, the fact i can use quality rechargeable batteries is a big bonus and i always purchase a pocket clip to carry it in my overall pocket, parts are available for them as well, i used to buy Led Lenser but quite frankly i always had problems with flickering and the battery holders always disintegrate after a while.

High quality little torch, very bright and durable

A very useful little additional tool for both home and work. Amazing lumens that allows the user to see clearly in the most dim and badly lit situations. Durable and hard wearing no matter how many times you drop it !!!. I have three!! The candlelight position is clever and very useful.

I'm also a lighting technician (amateur though!) and bought this to replace my previous non-LED maglite. It's so much brighter which makes a huge difference. I've dropped it countless times, lit my way through theatres and over rocks and through vegetation, held it easily in my hand or teeth or included (basic but practical) belt pouch, and not once yet needed to change the batteries!The only thing I'm not sure about is the flashing modes, which seem unnecessary and prevent you from sending morse code (other than the SOS mode).It's not all that pricey, and if you consider the savings due to longer lifespan, it's certainly better value than a cheap torch that won't last anything like this will.

I now have 4 LED torches - this one and 3 LED Lensers (2 A5's and a P7). Even the tiniest of them, the A5, which is not much bigger than my little finger and runs off a single AA battery is brighter even than my a D cell Maglite.The 2 AA LED Maglite is incomparable to the old bulb version and massively more powerful even than the 2 D cell (bulb). In fact I think it's just as bright as the Lenser P7 which surprised me. The build quality is decent but not really in the same league as the P7 which is a much chunkier, hardier beast, but at less than half the price I am not complaining. In fact, unless you really need a Pro level torch like the P7 I'd not bother and buy this Maglite instead because you get as much light and most of the build quality for half the price plus some potentially useful features like the automatic flash SOS option which could be useful for walkers who find themselves in difficulty.

Maglite's brand is well known and trusted. Unfortunately, these days the trust is not warranted. I've had a couple of maglites, the original one was ok as a torch, did the job. The LED one is badly made, incredibly unreliable and as others have said, the focus does very little on the LED version. The flickering that others have seen started after a few weeks, since then its been back twice for repair. I work in live events and television and frequently need a torch in dark spaces, Maglites have let me down too many times so I've bought an LED Lenser P7 to replace it.

Eine Mag Lite kauft man grundsätzlich nur 1x im Leben, da sie ein Leben lang hält. Der Preis daher zweitrangig, wirklich.Meine erste habe ich vor über 20 Jahren gekauft und die funktioniert noch tadellos. Auch die neuen LED-Lampen sind von hoher Qualität und absolut zuverlässig. Die Helligkeit ist beeindruckend und die Batterielebensdauer erstaunlich hoch. Ggf. ist die Bedienung per Drehen und nicht per Knopf gewöhnungsbedürftig. Absolut empfehlenswert *****

Après avoir acheté la grande maglite (en noir, version LED), j'ai également cacheté le petit modèle. Qualité de fabrication identique, bonne qualité d'éclairage, pas déçu.
