LEGO21108 "Ghostbusters Ecto-1" Building Set

This was an absolute joy to put together and the finished product was a piece of modern art. I'm a fan of lego, but just as big a fan of the original Ghostbusters movie. Combining the 2 is such a logical idea and has worked so well. I would also like the HQ but this is a bit out of my price range.I advise people sitting on the fence with this at its current price not to hang about like I did with the Back to the Future Lego set. Once this is gone and the new movie (hmmmmmm) comes out it wil be well into 3 figures and not justifiable to most people.I felt like I got good value simply because it looks great and I'm 100% happy with it. If I had paid 3 times that amount probably not.5 stars.

As a huge fan of Ghostbusters and Lego, back in the eighties as a child, I used to reconstruct the events of the movie out of plastic bricks all the time. Mostly the results were pretty dire, and I dreamt of an official Lego Ecto 1. 25 years later, and here it is - an incredibly detailed, authentic vehicle that has been so well designed you barely even believe it's made of Lego when looked at from a distance. The clever use of elements is seen in the red fins, the iconic front of the car and the assorted apparatus on the roof.The minifigures are an absolute joy - you can easily tell who is who - and their proton packs are minutely detailed. If only Slimer was included.

Not quite as fun to build as 75828 but it's 1984 Ecto1. As a lifelong Ghostbusters fan that's pretty much all that matters. It's a lovely model and the detail on the figures is amazing.What I was particularly impressed by was how recognisable the heads are - you can tell which one is Venkman or Stantz just by the way the cheeks are drawn on.Also, no stickers which is a great bonus.It's a lovely set, just need to build myself a nice cabinet somewhere to put it in (I know that's not quite the Lego spirit but seriously, Ecto-1!)

I have a 9 year old autistic boy that is obsessed with ghostbusters and this lego set has truely made him happy! Cant thank you enough for the quick delivery.

This is a quality LEGO set and definitely a must buy for Ghostbusters fans. First of all, the packaging is top notch. The box is good quality with vivid graphics and the instruction booklet contains trivia about the movie. The set took me about 2 hours to build and was enjoyable with minimal repetition. Once built, the Ecto-1 is very striking and movie accurate. Also, the mini figures deserve special praise as they capture the characters personalities perfectly. The only negative I can think of is that the set is a bit pricey, although its worth it for Ghostbuster fans.

Really great design - the car feels very solid when put together and nicely reflects the design from the film. All four ghostbusters are present and recognisable - Venkman even has a slightly whimsical smile that really brings out the personality of the character.I really enjoyed putting it together and, on the strength of this product, ordered the Dr Who Lego Ideas model straight afterwards which I'm looking forward to building!My four year old son loved it too and was desperate to pay - is it wrong that I don't want to share? !!!
