is this item the real thing or fake

Just received mine in the post today and being a frequent user of real techniques blenders and sponges can confirm that this is DEFINATELY NOT the real thing. I haven’t even opened the package yet because as soon as I got it out of the box I could see the colour and quality of the packaging and product were not genuine. I’ll be perusing a refund as soon as I’ve written this review.

Can you wash this with water and soap? Or is their a specific cleaning product you have to use?

I personally use soap bar and warm water every morning. Works great!!!
