This is a really excellent book for a complete beginner....its very clear and easy to follow, and it gives step by step instructions all the way through the book....excellent....I would highly recommend 😀

Bought this for my wife as she has just taken up machine sewing. Perfect for learning from.

It’s a great step by step guide for mini projects which is great for beginners but it claims IThat if includes 3 full size patterns, however, it only includes 2 full size patterns.

For use with a Brother sewing machine bought to replace an old machine that finally gave up the ghost ... my Wife is very pleased with both !

I am a complete beginner to machine sewing and I did not find this book very easy to understand at times. It certainly was not written from the point of view of a complete beginner. I have only covered a few projects but have had to frequently unpick some of my work as the instructions were not always very clear. It has therefore been very frustrating. A a beginners book it should be written as a dummies guide to sewing.

This book was really good and helpful

This was just what I was looking for. I have no idea at all how to sew. Everything I make seems to end in disaster. Yet this book is perfect. It gives nice easy lessons and it easy to understand. It gives confidence to the sewer.It makes sewing seem pleasurable and not overwhelming. It also soon gets into nice easy projects where you can actually create some marvellous things which give you a real sense of achievement.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is starting out and learning to sew. I honestly cannot fault this book at all.

I haven't started the sewing yet, but I have read through the entire book. It seems like it will be very helpful when I do start sewing.

It's definitely for beginners and the patterns are not very good. I wouldn't want to make anything from it. I thought it would be more about how to use your sewing machine. I returned it.
