I have not used it extensively but so far, so good. Seems of quality construction. It came with two "ropes", it was easy to adjust, the handles are easy to hold. Overall a good experience so far.

This is way nicer than my last speed rope, which I paid twice as much for. I really like the weight of the handles, as well as the shape and feel. It's smooth and fast, and overall a terrific bargain. I also like that the cable is soft and flexible, but still strong. My last rope actually broke in half (after many years of use) because the cable was a bit too rigid, and would get kinked if you didn't coil it up just right. This one doesn't appear to have that problem. I also appreciate that it comes in a variety of fun colors.

i do 45 mins in 12 rounds of speed rope daily .... on rough terrain this rope will break under those standards within a month or 2 . great handle and lock function but either poor steel rope quality or im just going too hard

This rope is light, adjustable length, and seems to be surprisingly well made.I'm between residences and was finding the weighted rope I brought with me too short. This is great because its comfortably long enough (I'm 5"11 and have about 6" to spare on the rope) and adjustable if I want to go shorter.It is designed for speed but to be honest I'm a relative beginner adult and find it perfect for my general workout use. I find the handles quite comfortable too.Obviously doesn't give me the benefit of the weighted handles (the only slight weight here is on the rope itself but even that is light), but compared to my "standard" rope back home, I'd say this is actually far better for a general use skipping/jump rope.

I gave these 3 stars because these are too slick once you get sweaty because they are machined out of aluminum and have NO silicone added to the handles. I also have experienced a "roughness" that appears to be coming from the bearings a few minutes after I begin exercising. The rope still spends freely and I am able to complete my routine which usually involves about 44 minutes of jumping. I added bicycle handlebar cushions because they are so very slippery. I also found some light weight gloves that have a nice tacky surface for grasping objects that I wear which make the jump rope handles very easy to hold. I paid $10 for this jump rope and these are well worth the price for someone who is thinking about adding jump rope for their fitness. I use this jump rope for my long routine which is speed and without tricks and so I keep my rope really short. I really wouldn't recommend this rope for learning tricks. The bearings are wonderfully smooth except as noted above which I just can't explain or find a reason for. I have used a WD-40 type of lubricant on them only because of all the sweat that might have leaked into them. I have also purchased other "cheap" ropes which I still use for added resistance and weight. If you truly want to begin jumping rope, get yourself a beaded jump rope for around $4. If you find you enjoy jumping rope and you keep it up for more than about three months, 3/week, purchase yourself a good rope only if you want to make jumping rope your focus for fitness. It's excellent for aerobic fitness and endurance.

I'm just an average person looking for a simple workout. It's got a nice light, thin, feeling --which is almost weird after growing up in the 80s using heavy ass rope and clanky plastic tube-bead style ropes---its smooth, functional. adjustable. and two different 'ropes'!? score. arrived quick and in good conidition. looking forward to kicking my butt.

The rope looks great BUT after using it only one, the self locking mechanism on one side doesn't work so I now have a new but useless rope! I tried to contact customer support and the email doesn't work. I guess I will be throwing this one away and getting a new one. What a waste of money...

Overall I won’t be using it as it hurts when you hit your legs. Faster than a normal plastic rope but painful when you miss and it hits your legs.
