Excellent ladder
Great design and construction. The extra frame at the top of this ladder allows my to rest my weight forward against it making me feel very secure even on the top step.

Great ladder
I bought this to paint my 10 foot walls. It is quite sturdy and the paint tray fits perfectly on the fold down shelf. I really appreciate the handles when climbing up and down the ladder. I just wish the handles could fold in for better storage. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Good quality.
If you have balance issues even this ladder can be problematic. For younger seniors as my husband is 90. However does provide nice side rails and quality is good.

It is such a great step ladder. Helps you feel safe when decorating for Christmas, etc. Also, reaching ceiling lights in the house and outside.

This is worth every penny
I have stepladders ( 4 step) at home to get to high cupboard or closet shelves but always ended up bringing in a 5 foot ladder to change ceiling lights or smoke detector batteries or other high up tasks. However the 5 foot ladder has a wide footprint which makes it difficult to position. The SocTone 5 step ladder is one of the best things I have gotten. It's tall enough for the tall jobs, it has a smaller footprint but is very sturdy and I LOVE the railings. It is a bit heavy and a bit bulky to store because of the railings and I don't use it too often . I keep it in the garage and bring it in if I need to. I last used it outside to trim some tree branches. I highly recommend this product.

Great for folks with balance issues
I bought this ladder because I liked the idea of the handrails and the bigger steps. The older I get the more I worry that I’m going to fall and break something. This latter did not disappoint. I feel more comfortable now when I need to change a lightbulb. You can hang onto the side rails as you climb. The steps are wide and deep & you aren’t trying to balance on a thin, narrow step. You can stand like you normally do and feel very secure.Attaching the handrails was a bit of a chore until I realized I should start with the bottom screw to get it started & then do the top screw. That worked out very well. It is a bit heavier than I would like but the handrails more than make up for that inconvenience. Once I get to the point that I cannot pick it up, I will simply walk it to where it needs to go. I like items like this that are made for older folks so we can maintain our independence longer.

Loving this ladder!
As a senior, I've been wanting a way to safely get up to clean decorative items above the kitchen cabinets and take dust and spiderwebs off pine ceilings and rafters inside our home. This ladder allowed me to use a bungee cord to put a 3-gallon wet/dry vacuum on the top tray and clean all the high places I'd ignored in recent years. The ladder's side rails and top rails kept me feeling balanced. I could move the ladder myself and found it easy to open and close. The wider steps were more comfortable to stand on than a conventional ladder. I gave it a 4 for sturdiness because, although it felt sturdy to me, I'm not a heavy person.I did find that when I put the ladder together it would have been helpful to have a second person to hold the side rails in place as I tightened the screws. The directions were clear and the ladder well packed for shipent.
