bigger on the outside
the actual heating element inside the aluminum extrusion is only about an inch long, the rest acts as a heat spreader. an observation, not a complaint. heats up pretty quick, though.

Got the incubator working again
Our incubator had been having trouble keeping the temperature. The temp warnings kept coming on during our last batch. While the chicks and guineas still hatched, they all died within a few days. Found a video on YouTube showing the repair and ordered this. Tested the unit and it's working like a charm again. If you have one of these incubators, definitely have some of these spares around.

Very cool I mean hot. Huh
It's keeping my battery's warm. But make sure you don't touch the batteries they get Hot Temperature control may be a good idea. Or control voltage.

Great little heater.
Great little heater tiles. Uses very little 12v power and will heat a pot of sand to 250f in less than an hour.
