From High Excitement to being very underwhelmed
When i First heard that they were releasing a starter set that featured both of my 40k armies i was ecstatic, that the fact that it included two limited edition models as well as a mini version of the rulebook that is easier to carry in it made it a must have! that said everything else in the pack in is a little underwhelming, 3 killa kans, 5 nobs, and 10 grots.... yawn,as both the grots and the kans are in my opinion at this point easily some of the most useless units for the ork army in this new edition, but i think the Space Wolves definitely got the better the offerings of this box 5 terminators and the 10 marines are going to stomp all over anything the orks bring to the table with what they got in this box baring a lot of luck, though it should be noted that as of this writing the new Space Wolf codex is a week away so that may change. but as comparing what both armies got in this box the Wolves definitely fared better. I have to be honest though, in comparison to the last two starter boxes this one does not include as much for each faction, the Orks have been featured before in starter boxes and by comparison this is the slimmest picking they have ever gotten in second edition they got 20 orks, and 30 grots, in Black Reach they got a limited edition warboss, 20 boys, 5 nobs, and 3 defkoptas. but they are not alone with not getting nearly as many models. the space wolves by comparison to the starter boxes as the other space marine chapters seem to have gotten the short end of the stick, like the Dark Angels in Dark Vengeance got 5 terminators, 10 marines, 3 bikes and at least 2 special characters. and in black reach they got 20 marines, 5 terminators , a special character, and dreadnaught. The biggest killer that keeps this from being great is the value is not only that you don't get as much as you do in every other Starter box in the series it costs more than every other starter box before it. At the end of the day this box is for you if you love either one or both armies, want the limited edition special characters, would love a mini rulebook, or don't mind the cost than don't hold back as this is your dream come true, but honestly i have to say for the majority of you in this hobby to give this item a pass as this box really isn't the must have the previous box sets have been
