I recently purchased an FX30 for recording basketball games. Often I need to record 3-6 games in a day to cover the team's games. This SmallRig battery set is perfect for what I needed. The set comes with two batteries and the charger. An amazing value. I now am able to swap out batteries between games and never have to worry about the charge. The charger is really nice because it has a built in USB-A wire that tucks into groves underneath so that it can be hidden. But it also supports using an external USB-C connection. I've used both the FX30's native charger and also the USB-A depending on my situation. Both work great. Also, the LCD screen on the charger is very bright and informative. The batteries work in the FX30 with no error messages. They are a little bit smaller in capacity compared to the native Sony battery, but for the value, this is a great option. Especially because you get two in the set.

Run time is pretty good with full charge but not as great as Sony brand batteries. Charging takes a while and I would recommend only using a USB-C into the charger or else the batteries will take forever to reach full.

I originally gave this product a not so good review but since I returned it Smallrig reached out and gave a replacement as well as refund. The second battery(s) charges faster and does not give me an in camera warning that this is not an authentic Sony battery. Its battery life is not as good as the Sony's expensive battery. But the price is right and I am happy with the overall performance and the great customer service of smallrig. Thank You

I love this little charger. It has a read out for charge level, capacity, and how much it filled. Has a built on usb, but can also use type c. The batteries last pretty well;however, they don’t talk to the camera as a Sony battery would so you have to answer the battery prompt.

This SmallRig dual charger is amazing. Super portable, charges fast, and I bring it everywhere. It has a built-in USB-A cable that’s clutch for quick plug-ins, plus a USB-C port so you have another charging option. The OLED screen shows each battery’s charge level in real time, which is way more useful than guessing with LEDs. It’s lightweight and perfect for travel, and the build quality feels solid. I use it constantly for my FZ100 batteries and it’s never let me down. Just note that it doesn’t take anything above 15W input, so don’t expect PD fast charging. Aside from that, it’s one of those accessories that becomes essential once you have it. Highly recommend.

This battery kit regularly goes on sale on B&H and Amazon and it is a steal for under $60. Are you going to get 100% Sony battery quality performance? No, but 2 batteries that deliver 80% of the Sony battery's performance at 70% the cost of just one Sony battery is a no brainer for me. Plus this 2 pack comes with a charger that I love! It has USB-C input and a built in USB-A cable. These batteries are great for photo use when you're not taxing the camera as hard and get fairly close performance to the Sony battery. For heavy video use I would recommend Sony batteries as your primary power source, these as a backup in your bag, followed by a USB PD battery bank attached to your rig. I've used the NP-FW50 version of this kit for a year and didn't notice any notable battery degradation when paired with my Sony A7ii. So far I've been using this kit in my A7iv for a couple of months and haven't had any problems with them.

This gives me two additional batteries and allows me to charge batteries external to the camera so I am assured of having a spare when I need it. So far the batteries seem to work as well as the original Sony battery.

I have had this for a couple of months and I have had no issues, it charges, and fast, I haven't tested the charger on other branded batteries of this type yet though, I have tried the battery that comes with a Sony camera (vz-e1) but it doesn't seem to work, so if other people have been able to charge their batteries that come with the camera in other charges then that might be a better option. But this is great if you need to buy 2 batteries and a charger for a good peice. And the batteries work great as well of course, one will last pretty much all shoot day using the Sony zv-e1.

This charger is a fantastic alternative to the pricey original, and it works perfectly.
