Nail-AidKeratin 3 Day Growth Nail Treatment & Strengthener, Clear, 0.55 Fl Oz

**black nail polish pics are for the initial (2/12) review, all french tip pics are for the updated 3/24 review posted below**I've been using nail-aid for exactly one month today, and this review is to explain how I used it and what my results were. I should mention that my fingernails are typically weak, thin, and brittle, and it doesn't help that for the majority of the time over the past 20+ years, I've been wearing artificial nails. I removed the artificial nails a few days prior to the day I received it and clipped my natural nails down to about 1mm in length. So really there was only a sliver of white showing. My nails start growing about 2.5 mm in from my fingertips, some a little more and some a little less.Since I've been using this product, there's been 3-5mm of growth. It's differed depending on the finger... not sure why. My thumbs, and the first finger on the right hand showed less growth. My pictures are both the right and left hand (how they look currently). Last week (week 3 of using nail-aid) I broke two fingernails off. This isn't because of the product. I have definitely noticed my nails are stronger and thicker than they were, and I feel like the two tips that broke off (first and middle fingers of my right hand) were more weak starting off than the others. I think they'll be much stronger when they grow out again. I broke about 2mm of length off the middle fingernail, and about 2.5 mm of growth from the first finger. I've also chipped the tips of both thumb nails and had to file down around 1mm of growth, so all of those nails are shorter in my photos than they were a week ago unfortunately. I wish that I had taken pictures then, so you at least could see the full amount of growth at three weeks. Aside from those fingers that I mentioned, I think you can get a good idea of what you can expect in just 4 weeks. I'm not sure if they are growing at a faster rate than other people's fingernails, but I can tell you that they're getting stronger.One reason I've used fake nails for so long was because my natural nails have been so flimsy that I felt like I needed more sturdy nails that would just hold up to everyday life. Apparently they aren't that strong yet, but I haven't been able to grow my natural nails this long since I was in my early 20's. I went through two pregnancies in my twenties, and removed the fake nails because I assumed they'd grow with help of the prenatal vitamins I was taking every day. They grew a little, then they'd split and tear off in a recurring cycle each time. My nails didn't even get as long as they are now during either of those pregnancies. I really think this product is doing something. If it's not actually making my nails grow, I think it's at least making them stronger so they're not splitting and chipping off as easily, so I've been actually able to see some nail growth. I definitely think that this product supports nail growth by making nails stronger, and for the small price, I think it's a good value and that you can't go wrong giving it a try to see if it works for you.One last thing I should mention is that I only used this product correctly the first week. You're supposed to apply two layers initially, then every 3 days apply another coat. Somehow I got it in my head that I had to remove it every three days and start over (applying two coats). So I've still been putting it on, but it may have worked even better had I been following the directions (that are on the package and even directly on the bottle in case you throw the package away). Oops. So I'm going to start using it correctly and see if that makes any difference at all. I'll update if there's a change. I hope this review has helped you!3/24**Update**I added 4 new photos to show the nail growth since 2/12. I took pics on 2/25, then again today 3/24. Unfortunately my right thumb keeps having accidents. It grows a decent amount and then I just end up being too rambunctious and I manage to break it off. I broke it completely off two weeks ago...and I mean it was down to the pink part, and part of the top layer on the corner even peeled off. Ugh. I'm confident that using this product will help it grow back. I just have to learn to be more careful with my right hand. Also, the first fingernail on my left hand was growing even faster than the others and II did clip just a little off of that one too make it match the others a little better. I also had to file down the first fingernail on the right hand again because well...I just have issues with that nail. The others you can see are clearly growing pretty well.I don't have pictures of them, but I've been using this on my toenails too, and I'm super impressed with this stuff because for years (with the exception of the big toes on both feet), I only grow little slivers for toenails. I didn't even bother painting them because they were so little. I finally have enough of a toenail to paint and they look so cute!! I'm very happy with this stuff. Sorry about the collage pictures. I wanted to put them side by side so that you could compare, and it somehow cut my thumbs off in some of them. (You weren't missing much with the right thumbs since I'm constantly breaking them off. Lol!)

It is a good hardener, though I used Sally hansen's nail hardener between a nail-aid base and top coat.After three days, there is only slight lifting—granted, I really only used my hands without regard for my nails once for about an hour.It really is a great hardener, though. My nails havent ever been so strong. I've included some photos I took before and after the 3 days granted on the logo.I will say, I didnt see much growth besides how much my nails grow naturally. And there is a nail polish scent to the nail-aid when wet. It doesn't come off when dry, though. So long as you keep your nails away from your nose while drying, you'll be fine.

I have problem nails and this helps them stay stronger. It dries fast and I have seen results as my nails grow. It's not a magic cure and you have to use it frequently. But, it helps more than most other nail products have for me. The price is reasonable and it doesn't damage your nails or make them change color. I'm on my second bottle and I'm pleased with the results. I gave it 4 Stars because I wish it would last longer, it tends to need another coat in just 3 or 4 days or it chips at the edges.

I can totally relate to my other brittle, weak-nailed sisters in these reviews. My nails would break any time I barely touched them on something and they also liked to develop splits. Like others, I desperately tried a variety of things to have even halfway decent looking nails.I kept my expectations low but was surprised when after the first coat, I could see a bit of difference. For one, it's a great clear coat and just makes your nails look cleaner and provides some additional strength. I swear I saw my nails grow ever so slightly within that first day or so. I haven't been using it long but the longer I do, the more difference I can see and my nails aren't breaking as much.Pleasantly surprised by this item, and especially at the price point! You can't go wrong here.

After years of having very strong nails I began to develop ridges in my nails which then led to the tip of my nail splitting as the ridge grew out leaving a V shape opening at the end of my nail. Nothing helped. My nail would get caught on everything and as my nail grew the V-shaped split remained. After trying different products, I thought I’d give this product a try without expecting a whole lot BUT, to my surprise, within a short period of time (a couple weeks if that) my nails were growing out normally and the splits at the end of my nails disappeared. My nails got stronger and stronger as time went on. Wish I had taken pictures. I was amazed to find something that actually worked so well and without spending a fortune! For the price, give it a try. I’m ordering my second bottle so I don’t run out.

This definitely works and helps the nails from cracking or chipping. I’ve been consistently using it weekly and it’s made a big difference. I can never get my nails long enough before they start breaking. I work a lot with my hands! So I’m pretty stuck on this! I use it as a base and on top of nail polish as well!

On day 7 of wearing and really haven't noticed it helping to much, but going to keep trying to see if it helps strengthen once they are grown out enough to be able to tell. Photos are day 1 and day 7 and are labeled. I feel like the 3 day thing is really misleading but maybe that's just me. I didn't expect them to grow insanely fast but was Def expecting a bit more then this so far
