Casio Men Analogue-Digital Watch G-Shock

The bluetooth tech is actually handy, one press "D" button will synch with your phone, or automatically. The find phone function actually works (within bluetooth range), but you must have location on as well. To use these functions you need the G-Shock app on your phone. A little setup required, and one of the handiest elements of the App is you can use it to change settings on your watch (and on the watch itself as usual of course), and there is always access to the watch manual. Comfortable to wear and light. Solar powered, so no battery replacements, 200m WR, timer, stop watch 5 alarms, hourly signal, world time, backlight. The visibility of the analogue is great, the digital a little small. perfect size, and not gigantic like other g-shocks. Would recommend one of the after market Nato straps, looks good with this watch (and is compatible with the 5600s as well). Highly recommended.

God-tier Casio! Honestly though, great watch, strap is ok, and is extremely clear to read. The led light is bright, with a clear white colour, so not like an F91w! The size is perfect too. Excellent timekeeping with the movement. Although thought it a gimmick, the ‘find my phone feature’ has already been game changing, as I was working in a loft, had put it down with no mobile signal and was able to find it easily using this feature.

Had this for 5 to 6 weeks now and pleased with it. Had a casio digital negative display but as as getting older having trouble seeing time without glasses. So have this analog now. Using bluetooth to phone app working fine and updates 4 times in 24hrs if in range of phone so time accurate.

Upfront confession. I'm a gshock fan. That said, I'll try to highlight both negatives and positives for this watch. So here goes. First off, ALL gshocks are fantastic value for what you get. Even the stupidly expensive ones are fantastically well built, although for me the whole point is that you should be able to subject the watch to all kinds of abuse, and then shake your head in wonderment at the fact that it keeps working! Moving on to this particular model Size - feels much smaller on the wrist than most gshocks, which is a big plus for me. I want all the gshock features, but I don't want to go to the shops looking like a navy seal! The downside to this is that the digital display panel is quite small, and if your vision is poor you may struggle. This model has the positive display, by the way, which I find much easier than the blacked out versions. Strap - the silicone strap is typical gshock, and it works absolutely fine, IF you like silicone straps. I don't. The good news is that you can buy a simple adapter, so I now have black and brown leather nato straps which I alternate according to my mood. If I go snorkeling, I can easily switch back to the silicone, because the changeover is very simple. Lume - lume is okay, but not as strong as some other gshocks. You get a backlight, though, so it's not really a problem. Timekeeping- nearly 2 years in and perfect. I personally don't like Bluetooth as much as the multiband 6 system, because I have to make the watch sync to my phone, rather than automatic updates, but in reality the thing is so accurate that it doesn't matter if you go months without syncing. Controls- simple and intuitive, and does everything you expect from top end gshocks. Summary - buy one! If you get the right deal, it can be under a hundred quid, and for that you get a super accurate, super durable watch that looks great for sports day to day and even dress wear at a pinch!

Lovely watch for the money this is my second G-Shock watch I've had the other one 25 years never changed the rechargeable battery as been a great watch I still ware it a lot. Fancied a new one let's hope this one is as good?

Brilliant watch

I followed the information and downloaded the casio app first. Then I added the watch to the app. The watch connected easily and works well. It looks great, feels good, is easy to read and the light illuminates the whole dial. I'm really happy with this gshock. I bought a 5610u but gave it to my sone because my eyes are not as good as they used to be. This GAB2100 gives me a gshock that I can read without changing glasses. Delighted with this watch.

The Casioak as it’s nicknamed. I’ve been complimented while wearing it by those in the know. To many it just looks like a regular G-Shock variant, and it is that, but it’s more than that to me. Stylish, sized well for my large wrist, accurate and has useful features like timer and world clock. Has the right amount of tech built in and that includes the solar power meaning I really can just wear it and forget. Perfect for busy lives.
