This Backup Camera works perfectly on my 2011 BMW 335is convertible, (BMW e93). Installation took me less than hour, took me longer to run the cable from the trunk to the front. For my application, it was a snug fit, it almost did fit in its original location, but I played around with the blue/black cable and the angle in which I was inserting the camera into the trunk hole. After a few minutes, I was able to secure it properly into the mounting hole and sits snug. The video quality is very clear with no issues, the view angle sits a little too low for my taste, but it does allow me to see a wide angle and what's behind me. Therefore, I gave it 5 stars. For the price, it does its job well, the picture is clear, and it installed with ease.

Good fit and look. Has a good camera but I have an issue with the video quality because no matter what I do it has lines across it like a bad signal or bad camera I’m not sure. It has a good trunk release button and looks original on my BMW. It’s easy to install.

Not bad quality, I wish the image little bit nicer, before I order this one I ordered similar to this with double the price and I installed it and the image looks so clear and nice but it didn't last more than 30 minutes and I return it for refund thene I decided to go with this one and its a lot easy to install and nice for the price, it can do the job well, but don't expect Crystal clear you get what you pay for! I hope the seller can work on something like this but a lot better image quality and HD i will definitely replace the one I just got.

I plugged everything in. Made sure there was voltage through the cable via a voltage meter. The 4 pin male connector only goes in part ways, doesn't lock at all and falls out of the female connector. I don't think it goes deep enough to make contact, no signal shown on display. I tried using the filter to stabilize the voltage but still no signal, that leaving the 4pin connection. Solution may be to shave off the female connector but I did not want to damage the product and nobody should need to do that. Manual cables did not look like the actual cables given. Instructions had typos in it. Looks like it was translated using Google translate. Camera however, fits perfectly in the hole. Handle works when clicking. Ordered a replacement and same problem. The 4 pin does not reach the pins all the way on the female end resulting in no signal.

Definitely has better resolution than other cameras. Much less pixelation. Others have noticable pixelation on lines, this one doesn't. Camera uses a narrow and small 4 pin connector about 6 feet long, making it very suitable for 91 hatch which requires more cable length than E90 Sedan, E92 coupe, and E93 convertible. Narrow connector makes it easier to snake through the panels all the way next to the battery. Rest of the extension wires are easily run up to the front. Make one extra wire to run from the reverse light of the E9x BMW to the switch on video unit, because this camera prefers own dedicated power 9 to 14v DC to show without noise. Best to use a relay triggered by reverse light. The handle switch and mounting tab for switch won't clear the hatch. Remove the switch from handle, trim 2mm off the tab where switch was mounted, reglue the switch after handle is installed into place.

It works, when connected to the battery. Install is decently easy, hooking up isn’t fun. The camera randomly doesn’t work, but when it does it is pretty nice, but I don’t think I would buy it again.

Easy installation, pretty straightforward. Installed this on my 2008 BMW 335xi CCC. It says in description that it won’t work with CCC but it does if anyone was wondering.

For the price this is a decent way to add a backup camera. Let me try to address some of the issues I see in other comments. Fitment: the rubber gasket on the edge is kind of loose. I just got the gasket in place and got the camera lined up with the opening. A good solid push with both hands on the outside edges both too and bottom got the camera to install without issue. Power hookup, since this only works with aftermarket head units I recommend using the amp turn on and a relay to hook this up. This way the camera is powered on anytime the head unit is on. The run a wire from the reverse light to the head unit to signal the head unit when you are in reverse. Most bmws already have a reverse signal in the dash so that may not even be necessary. Camera image quality: yea it has about what you would expect for the price. Viewing angle is not as claimed for sure. And the detail isn’t great. This works fine for seeing behind your car, but it’s not good at helping predict where the sides of your car are. The grid lines are useless for this. And the viewing angle is too low for most aftermarket head units grid lines too. I was also impressed at how long the wiring was, this was helpful for install.

Hallo , habe die rückfahrkamera heute in meiner e90 limo eingebaut , passt gut , Kabel sind auch lang genug und die kamera ist ein echtes Highlight. Das kurze rote Kabel , welches neben dem Chinch-eingangsstecker ist , brauchte ich bei meinem Radio gar nicht anschließen, da mein dynavin d99 automatisch auf rückfahrmodus umschaltet beim einlegen des rückwärtsganges... die Stromversorgung für die kamera habe ich am rückfahrscheinwerfer angeschlossen , da es die einzigste Möglichkeit ist , im Kofferraum geschaltetes plus zu bekommen . Ich habe übrigens noch einen entstörfilter dazwischen geklemmt (gibt's auch bei Amazon für 15,99) weil bmw getaktete Spannung an den rückleuchten hat und somit eine störungsfreie Bildübertragung nicht möglich wäre . Aber alles in allem ein gutes , günstiges,passgenaues und optisch ansprechendes Produkt welches ich jedem nur empfehlen kann . Die nachtsichtfunktion konnte ich noch nicht testen , aber bei Tageslicht ist erstmal gutes Bild !! Ich werde die kamera ja jetzt täglich nutzen , ich gebe erstmal 5 Sterne , falls ich noch was zu bemängeln habe , lasse ich es euch wissen . Viele grüße Update 2. Auch in meinem Bmw e91 habe ich die Kamera eingebaut Und sie ist jetzt schon fast 2 Jahre drin und funktioniert immer noch bestens! In meinem e91 habe ich ein ZenecMK2 Radio und dieses Mal habe ich die Stromversorgung von der Steckdose im Kofferraum genommen (Zündungsplus) . Ich bin nach wie vor absolut begeistert von dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis dieser Kamera !! Absolutes Top Produkt !!

Works as it should but the instructions are not good enough. I had to get information from Youtube. Fits the handle of the BMW E61 fine if not perfect. The 6m cable isn't enough for the station wagon unfortunately but extending it is not difficult.
