Hello, Thank you for your question. This is Rafal from Scandinavian Biolabs. Experiencing a ‘tingling’ or 'burning' sensation is a normal reaction when applying the Hair Growth Serum. The intensity varies depending on the individual, ranging from minimal notability to irritability. In some cases, redness and soreness may occur. For many, it has been noted that the heating sensation lessens after a few weeks. Notably, these sensations can be heightened after showering as the skin tends to be more tender than normal conditions. The sensation is attributed to the heating agent HotFlux®, or Vanillyl Butyl Ether, which provides warmth to the scalp to stimulate blood flow. If the sensation is found to be too intense or overstimulating, please discontinue usage.

Q: Is the serum a dht-blocker?

The Hair Growth Serum does not contain any known DHT-blockers. Early-stage research suggests that curcumin, a component of Curcuma longa, may have a role in inhibiting the action of DHT, but it is not fully understood. Unlike prescription products, our products are not intended or designed to target hormonal imbalances. Our serum focuses entirely on maintaining the integrity of the hair follicle.

Q: How long does it take to see results?

The effect and time to reach full effect will differ from person to person, depending on a person’s receptiveness to the active ingredients. Therefore, some people will experience an effect faster than others. The active ingredients in Scandinavian Biolabs products are proven to reduce hair loss within 45 days. New hair growth is proven to be visible after 90 days and full effect is apparent after 150 days of daily use. However, the benefits of a naturally stronger and healthier hair from using Scandinavian Biolabs’ products will begin its effect within one week.
