Brio Moderna Touchless Bottom Load Water Cooler Dispenser - Self-Cleaning, Motion Sensor, Tri Temp Dispense, Child Safety Lock, Holds 3 or 5 Gallon Bottles, Digital Display and LED Light

I had a Brio bottom load that was very loud. I bought this for the touch and touch less features and am very happy with it. It's much quieter and the touch less works very well......in fact don't stand in front of it or it may start pouring water. When water runs out it will run a minute or 2 before it shuts off and lets you know it needs to be changed. The former Brio ran for a good 5 minutes. It looks very sleek and even though the water doesn't pour out real fast, it's not bad at all. If power goes out it will of course not work unlike other units with a hard physical push button. The water will have an odd taste when you first get because it's new. I found running the ozone cleaning feature helps as does running an entire 5 gl bottle through it. Taste improved after a couple days. I saw one review mention biofilm. If you use clean filtered water this should not be an issue at all. If you don't then of course you're going to see poor quality water. Don't use tap water in your bottles. Another good thing about the dispenser is the metal probe unlike other units that use plastic.

This is really nice dispenser. It came nicely packaged. It was easy to install. You just have to plug it in and flip the switches on the back. The buttons work fine. The water quality is great, it has a self cleaning feature that is easy to turn on. I also love the hands free function, although the directions were not helpful on how to activate it. You have to hold your hand over top of the two dots and then move it away to stop it. I could not get to work the first time, but after I unplugged it and plugged it back in it started working. There is a lock for the hot water that you have to hold down in order to unlock it, which is a great way to prevent kids from burning themselves. You can change the cold water temperature and it has a night light that can be turned on/ off by flipping the switch on the back. The door is a little tricky to open, but it is a nice looking dispenser.

Bought on May 2024, 18 months later to today Nov 2025 the dispenser finally died. Only last me less than 2 years. The look was cute but gets dirty over time. I though I would use the touchless function but I didnt use it as much as I thought I would. I also got tired of explaining to everyone which buttons were the water button and people are also to lazy to figure out how to unlock the hot water. I might go with Costco water dispenser who has a 4 year warranty. We will try to change out the motor and see if it works but I doubt it. Also it was making weird noises before it completely died.

I have a bad back and live alone so lifting water jugs was getting really hard. I live in a place where the water is completely undrinkable (and at times salinated 🤢) so even my pets drink bottled water. Bottled water is a necessity not necessarily a luxury. I’m glad I got this, it’s super easy to use and it’s pretty fancy. I’m partial to room temp water so I’m glad that’s one of the options. I didn’t realize the “touch less” part was only for cold water, however. Slightly annoying. Also, the hands free dispensing requires you to angle your hand in the right way over the sensor and hold it there until it’s done filling…kinda like a button… It’s funny though bc if I just pass my hand in front of it by accident, it will start dispensing because of course it does. 😂 It’s sleek looking and unobtrusive. I love the night light feature, too. Be aware that if you use a liter bottle (mine are Bkr) you have to angle the bottle under the spout bc it won’t fit under. Not a big deal, though, bc it still fills it fine. Overall, worth the money. It’s a nice machine and it does what it’s supposed to. I will update in a few months once I’ve had it for longer.

Lasted two years of regular use before the cold side stopped working. The drip catcher is too small.
