This took an extra MONTH to arrive (due to the port issues).Once it arrived, I installed it the same day. Not a "HARD" install, but the wires were pretty short.It did not come with a battery for the remote or any indication of what battery to put in it.After contacting the seller, I was told that it uses A23 batteries, and was able to buy some at my local grocery store.First impressions, it worked well and we liked it.Fast forward less than 3 months of having it in my bedroom and the remote died. If you put a new battery in it, the battery got HOT instantly and the remote did not work.I contacted the seller, and they immediately sent troubleshooting instructions to me. When it was determined that the remote was the problem, they sent out a replacement remote and control unit (in case it had an issue as well). Due to shipping delays for overseas packages, it took a bit of time to get the remote, but I was able to immediately pair it with the fan and it works perfect again!Good product, but GREAT customer service!

OK. Make sure you read the really long review from the guy who figured out how the remote actually works. Once you have the fixture installed also install the remote control right above your light switch. For all intents and purposes your light switch no longer exists to you. If you use the light switch you will not be able to set the LED light setting. Never touch your light switch again. Mount the remote right where your light switch used to be. Your new light switch is the button in the center that turns the light on. If you use that button to turn the light on and off like you normally would have the light switch, you will be able to set your favorite LED light setting and it will not change . If you hit the light in the center and then hit it again it will change the light. If you turn the light off and then turn it back on again it will change the light. So finally say that you like and then use the button in the center of the remote like you with the light switch and every time you turn off the light you will turn it on to the LED setting that you chose .

This took ages to come, then it took a while for us to finally install this, well hubby that is, thinking it would be a real chore, but turns out was not bad at all to put up, we watched the video instructions as those that come with the light were not informative enough, which seems to be the case with a lot of things these days. Anyway, it’s up and looks great. Happy with purchase.

I originally had the big, old 42” blade ceiling fan with the pull chains. It makes such a difference, appearance wise, in my living room and has a remote control so I can control the fan and light. The lighting is more crisper and the fan is super quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking to get rid of those old fashion blade ceiling fans.

This fan would be just about right IF it had only one light level...the warm yellow, and the fan had the one low speed. BUT it doesn't. I bought two fans and wish that I had selected something else.Let me be clear for anyone who is thinking of buying this fan. The fan has three types of light:1. Warm, which is very nice2. Neutral, which is a daylight white3. White, which is a very irritating fluorescent-type of lightWhen you turn on the light, one of these type of light goes on AT RANDOM. For example, you might turn it on and it will be the irritating white light. Another time when you turn it on, the light might be the neutral light. If you don't like that type of light, you have to turn off the light and turn it on again to get another random type of light. It might be the bright white again or it might be the warn yellow that you desire. This is just ridiculous design. Who ever thought consumers would like this is either not in touch with consumers or is privately chuckling about how frustrated these fan owners are.That brings me to the fan mechanism. The fan has FOUR speeds:1. Low, which is very quiet and creates enough breeze for a 20 x 20 foot rom.2. Medium, which produces a good bit of fan noise and really doesn't move all that much more air than the low mode.3. High, which sounds like a kitchen exhaust fan and still doesn't move a ton of air.4. Natural wind, which alternates AT RANDOM between the quiet low mode, the medium mode and the high mode. Anyone who can stand to be in a room with that going on could endure just about anything.So all the fan modes except low are really unnecessary. Thankfully, you can choose which mode you want using the remote control and don't have to endure the same random selection that happens with the light.So, what I am saying is that this light would be very nice if it had just the one warm light mode and the low fan setting. Buyers heed my warning so that unlike me, you don't discover this AFTER YOU PAY THE ELECTRICIAN INSTALL THE FAN.Seller: If you find any way to upgrade this product, I hope you let me know. I should be happy to upgrade my review if you supply me with a better product.
