A MUST HAVE COMPREHENSIVE REFERENCE TO BATTLE LYME COINFECTIONS!!!!
I have been struggling with neuro Lyme and Bartonella for 10 months. Living in Atlanta GA there is next to nothing in finding a true lyme literate physician or IDSA physician who acknowledges coinfections. My PCP refused to treat lYME with the bare minimum CDC guidelines resulting in an acute hospitalization at Emory due to severe neurological deficits and a BP of 60/40. IF YOU HAVE LYME STAY AWAY FROM INFECTIOUS DISEASE PHYSICIANS! THEY ONLY FOLLOW CDC GUIDELINES WHICH WILL NOT ADEQUATELY TREAT LYME AND THE COINFECTIONS. SEARCH OUT INTEGRATIVE PHYSICIAN OR LEAVE REQUEST HERE. Quickly I learned to advocate for myself and to understand these co-infections. Now that I have found a truly lyme literate integrative physician this week who utilizes these protocols I will be able to communicate and understand the healing journey. This book is comprehensive in detail in outlining the disease process, the bacteria profile, the inflammation cascade, providing Harvard studies on treatment findings, and best of all phamaceutical and detailed holistic modalities to treat these stealth infections.I am devotee of his bartonella protocol and have begun to see improvement in 3 weeks!!!! Dr Buhner conveys difficult medical processes into layman's terms enabling you to be empowered on your own behalf. Yes, it is difficult to be ill as well have such a steep learning curve. This book will ensure the right information to lead you out of the darkness until you can find a lyme literate physician. Dr Buhner is higHly respected in the Lyme medical community, brilliant in mind ,and a most compassionate medical doctor. This book is a must have for mycoplasma and bartonella sufferers. You can begin to heal yourself by knowing the enemy you are up against. Fight the good fight by being appropriately informed. As well HIGHLY RECOMMEND A BOOK FROM A PHYSICIAN WHO ALMOST DIED FROM BARTONELLA: Gone in a Heartbeat: A Physician's Search for True Healing Paperback – January 29, 2015 by Dr. Neil Spector (Author) HIS STORY OUR STORY.....BARTONELLA TESTING CAN BE DONE ACCURATELY THROUGH GALAXY LABS IN NORTH CAROLINA. Best Bartonella and Mycoplasma Book I Have Found
Healing Lyme Disease Coinfections, by Stephen Harrod Buhner, is easily the best discussion of Mycoplasma and Bartonella infections and their testing and herbal treatment. This book is a great bargain, since purchasing a copy of even one of the published studies he discusses would cost more than the entire price of the book. Buhner has obviously read and distilled over a hundred scientific journal articles to write this book. It is obvious he has read the entire articles, not just the abstracts. The depth of the book and the power of the various herbals to precisely modify the immune system is almost overwhelming. For example, Scutellaria baicalensis, Chinese skullcap, reduces nitric oxide, iNOS, IL-3, IL-6, IL-17, COX -2, PGE2, NF-xB,IxB-a, IL-1b, IL-2 IL-12, TNF-a and VEGF and tends to upregulate IL-10. Amazingly, some physicians claim there are no published studies of herbal medicinal effects! Interestingly, Buhner reports Scutellaria inhibits Cytochrome P450 C3A4, while a journal article, Eur J Drug Metab Pharmacokinet. 2011 Dec;36(4):249-56, concluded it did not inhibit C3A4, in vitro.I have personally witnessed resveratrol, andrographis, cat's claw, smilax, Isatis and hawthorne herbals Buhner recommended for Lyme Disease, produce favorable results. I have also observed a Western Blot Ig M 41 positive Lyme patient, recover from Herxheimer dieoff faster, using Isatis herbal, recommended by this book. I suspect the Lyme dieoff cleared faster, because Isatis decreases LPS endotoxins. In addition to treating or reducing severity of Mycoplasma and Bartonella, many herbals discussed in the book are also effective against allergies, encephalitis, arthritis, and other bacterial and viral infections, including Staphylococcus, Shigella, Enterococcus, Psuedomonas, Klebsiella, Malaria, Hepatitis C, HIV, Herpes, Cytomegalovirus, etc.Buhner reports he has recovered from Lyme disease and has been using herbals to treat people, for about 25 years. With antibiotic resistance, from prescription medications increasing, herbals provide effective treatment alternatives, for many bacterial and viral diseases. Herbals such as Astragalus and cat's claw can also be used proactively, as tonics, to prevent infections, such as Lyme Disease.Steven Sponaugle
