Faux Leather Arm Guards

These were a little stiff when I got them, but once I shaped them to my arms they worked out. They are definitely more suited to people with larger forearms (I'm 5"2") but they are very good quality and look like something out of the renaissance. High marks for sure!

This item was really good and perfect for what I'm going to use it for! Elf costume for Halloween. However, I was under the impression that this would be a set (pair of 2), so I was quite disappointed to find that I needed to purchase a second brace. I don't get paid again until the 19th, so that only gives the product 10 days to arrive in order for me to use it. Unless this was a one off mistake by the manufacturer, I suggest you purchase 2 if you intend to put one on each arm.

I needed to find some really nice looking gauntlets for my Renaissance Fair costume and I bought these because they looked decently high quality compared to all the other garbage that amazon offers. When I received them, I was completely surprised. They felt very nice (although they aren't real leather, they looked the part). It was a little difficult threading the string because it comes separate from the leather guards themselves, everything was great. If I could find this same quality for the price for other items like shirts, pants, other leather armors, and boot toppers, I would buy them instantly.

I like how they came in flat and with strings, that way you could design the string pattern however you want and fit the product to your forearm well. I will be using this at a halloween party this weekend

Only reason I give it 3 is because it's not genuine leather. Got them as a template for making real leather brackets. Not too heavy, nice and light, not too gaudy.

I was pleasantly surprised at these. I expected them to be on the poorer side of quality, but that wasn't the case. They are not just like top tier leather bracers, but they aren't something you'd finder in the costume section at a superstore. The laces are just okay, I'd recommend changing them; they do the trick perfectly fine, but are a little difficult to work with. I recommend not wearing white under them though, unless you're okay with the white getting a bit stained. Overall through, really good for the price!

These leather vambraces are certainly acceptable for LARPing, cosplay or theatrical use. They are made for adults and would not be good for kids' costume and require some padding for smaller-armed adults. These are leather and come flat with laces included. The rivets fore and aft give a nice touch. These look the part and would be acceptable accessories for fantasy, medieval LARPing, Renaissance fairs or theatrical use as well as cowboy dress for action shooting events (cowboys often wore such gauntlets for roping and whatnot). They are a little big. I would need to wear a thick shirt for these to look good on me close-up. As I intend more of a theatrical use, it doesn't matter but it's something to keep in mind. For the most part I was pleased with the price and the product itself.

Very sturdy construction, does not look or feel cheap. This was was for my son’s costume, so I replaced the laces with elastic to make it easier for him to take them on/off without help, which worked great!
