Q: Can these be worn as maternity tights?

While they would be quite comfortable as maternity tights, I couldn't say how high the rise would come up over the torso. It would differ from person to person depending on how far along the wearer was and their personal preference as to where they'd want to top of the tight to go to. I will say that even when worn below the belly, they're still seamless and feel super velvety. Hope that helps!

No, if you’re referring to the seam up the abdomen that most tights have. The top is a smooth and comfortable control top. Not suffocating at all. Love these tights!

Q: What is the difference between medium and large. Do you need to order one size larger if you are tall?

I’m not certain about the difference between medium & large. However, I am 5’6” and had ordered a large since I didn’t want any restrictions around my waist, etc. Extremely comfortable, yet they do slide down some. These (large) seem like they would fit someone a 2-4 inches taller than me. Perhaps I could’ve ordered a medium. Next time. Still very happy with these! All day comfort.
