I have a complicated relationship with self-tanner. I love the glow. I do not love the “well, this is my face for the next five days” anxiety. Enter Tanologist drops. The best part? They’re basically error-proof if you stick to 1–4 drops. If you somehow get enthusiastic, it’s not a crisis — it just deepens gradually over a few days. No dramatic overnight transformation. No panic scrubbing with a washcloth at 11 p.m. I really like that I can mix it into my regular moisturizer. That’s huge for me. I already know how my lotion sits on my skin, how it absorbs, how it behaves around my nose and eyebrows. So adding a few drops feels controlled and predictable instead of like applying a separate “tanning event.” I’m a longtime Clarins fan — I genuinely love the color — but this seems to last a little longer on me. And because it builds on itself so naturally, I don’t have to track the fade like it’s a subscription service. I just apply every three or four days. Sometimes daily if I’m experimenting. It layers beautifully without looking heavy. The color is subtle, believable, and forgiving. It looks like I went outside briefly and made good choices.

One of the best products for sunless tanning. I’ve used face and full body. It does have a shelf life. I love the face tanner the best. And it never stains your pillow. I put it on at night and wake up with a beautiful glow…like I only need mascara and lipstick glow.

Edit: I found out this works fabulous with a coconut oil based moisturizer or just raw coconut oil. It blends even and creates a beautiful, natural looking tan. I will be purchasing this again now that I know how to apply it. The good: I got this in “light” and I was worried that I might not get tan enough from my first application. The color is exactly what I wanted and beautiful. A little bit of product goes a long way and it is easy to mix with lotion or oil. At the price point as well it’s a decent self tanner. The bad: The tan does not apply evenly and comes on very splotchy and uneven. Lots of areas with dark lines as well as some odd areas where the tan did not reach- I noticed the tan would not stick to my abdomen for some odd reason. Since the color applied was darker than expected the streaks are easy to notice. Also, the tan is VERY gradual, meaning you’ll not see results until the next day with this product. Conclusion: I probably will not buy this again due to the splotchy result and long time it takes for the tan to appear. It’s not horrible but not great. I’d not advise using it before wearing an outfit that shows a lot of skin.

This might be the best facial tanning drops ive ever tried and ive tried a lot! I got the Dark color and mix 3 drops in with my normal PM moisturizer and by the 24 hour mark the color is perfect and lasts about 3 days before I need to reapply. The biggest surprise was theres no DHA smell like other products which was great because I loathe that smell. No streaks, no smell, no residue left on hands (after thorough wash)

MIX WITH LOTION. I almost made the mistake of not mixing it with my moisturizer. It says 1-12 drops and I’m very pale so I started with 3. I should have started with 1! Forgot my ears!! I also have very sensitive skin so I tested it on my wrist without mixing. Medium is DARK on my skin tone so beware if you’re super pale just wanting a little color haha.

This gives a nice overall color but I had streaks. Adding a color to it would be ideal so you can truly detect where you put it. Previous brands I’ve used had a tint to the liquid and I never had streaks and I’ve used self tanners for quite awhile. However it does last 4-5 days and wears off evenly with splotches

This stuff works great. I put a drop or two in my hand with my moisturizer & rub it in. I always have a slight tan look on my face. (I wear gloves, it will discolor your hands if you use a drop daily)

I felt 10x more attractive with the shade this gave me it worked quickly. Just be careful to wash it off your palms after applying because it does seem to last for several washes. I used about 4-5 drops mixed with a dime sized amount of castor and jojoba oil for my face and neck area to test it. I did a rinse around an hour later. I don’t have any streaks where the application ends; it faded pretty gradually into my skin tone. There is a bit of a fake tan smell but I don’t think its as bad as anything else I’ve tried.

My favourite tanning drops, simply blend a few drops with your face serum or moisturiser and it works it’s magic in a few hours. Only smells a teeny bit like digestive biscuits but I actually like that smell so it’s all good for me. Gives a totally even, natutal and streak free glow. I always lightly exfoliate before applying.
