I couldn't catch the cat for days as it outsmarted the trap. It scooped the food from sides and didn’t go deep enough the trap so never triggered the latch. I finally gave up and resold the trap. I would have given it 1 star but maybe it's this particular cat who knew better and some other animals would be easier to trap.

Good for small animals like ferrets etc

It is a well made item and mechanism works well. The picture shows a cat inside but it is too small for a cat. Ideal for anything the size of a squirrel or smaller.
