Yes. It's a silicone handle that You can remove and place on other 8 ounce bottles.

Q: If my baby already hold her own bottle will this be any benefit to us?

Our baby held his own bottle too! This just made it easier for him. Personally I love this handle and ordered a second one for his snippy cup.
