Q: Is the threaded hose adapter standard 1/4” npt thread, or a metric similar but not identical thread? several have asked-answers not clear.

It definitely is not 1/4" NPT standard thread. I tried multiple hardware stores without any identification of the thread. Nobody could help me with matching threads to install a common quick connect to the compressor handle. I finally tracked down a female quick connect on Amazon. Either Japanese or European fitting. It will pump up to 150PSI. Which is plenty of air to fill a Motorcycle tire. You need a sudden burst of air like on a tire machine to set the bead on any tire. This compressor will only give you a steady flow of air, not a sudden burst.
