Durable, and works as a heat-sync! Great deal too.
The media could not be loaded. This actual OEM part works great. Not only does it protect your Insta360 One RS, but it also works as a heat sync and helps keep the camera cool! Fits perfectly, is 100% the same as the one directly from the manufacturer (I got two One RS cameras, one with the 1-inch 360 mod so it has a different mounting bracket, and this was the exact same one that came with the One RS twin-edition pack). Also, this part makes mounting easy, especially when paired with a Falcam mount or a Ulanzi Hummingbird quick-release. I wish the One RS had a 1/4" mount directly on the battery, but this cage is super useful to have, even if it's just to make sure the camera is fully waterproof and held together tightly. I wouldn't take the camera into water without it!

Works great for Google Street View
I have been using this to map bike trails for Google Street View, and it works perfectly, with the latest Insta 360 Studio. The images are great, with the added cool of it being both a GoPro replacement using one lens, or a Street View cam with the 360.

Love these things
I love these things. I keep one mounted to each of my motorcycle helmets, so I can just slip the camera in and go. Super convenient!

Convenient but beware...
I had the Insta360 One and got the RS battery which is slightly bigger, prompting me to get this case. At first glance, I liked how much easier it was to install the camera through the side door, but that design coupled with the locking mechanism was initially concerning to me. It did not appear AS secure as the original case with the top locking mechanism. Rightly so, because I just lost my camera yesterday after the lock on this case failed, hence the 2 stars for sturdiness and value. I've been using the case on multiple rides for the past 4 months, always ensuring the lock was secured properly. On this particular ride that lasted 2 hrs, it failed 1.5 hrs into it (I know this because that's when my friend behind me saw it fly out). Had I not secured it properly, I'm certain it would have flown out a lot sooner, so this leads me to believe it must be a design flaw with the plastic locking mechanism. Value is great but not when it can cost you over $400.Too bad can't directly safety wire the camera itself. Cases and mounts are way cheaper to replace than the camera itself...

Snapped off in the middle of my second ride.
Sorely disappointed in this product. It broke off at the mounting point in the middle of my second gravel ride with it (yes, it was recording at the time). Advertised for use in action sports but will not hold up to vibrations and shocks. Do not trust your RS with this if you’re doing anything more than posting it on top a selfie stick.
