I expected the 'wide mouth' to be the same standard mason jar wide mouth size & that's the only reason I purchased this (for a particular purpose - to use with wide mouth rings), so unfortunately, it's of little to no use to me...

I bought these jars to store my peanut oil from my turkey fryer in my refrigerator. They are the perfect size & fit on my bottom refrigerator shelf and take up very little space compared to trying to store a 3 gallon plastic oil container. This worked out perfectly. The jars seal very well… No leaks. The best part is it freed up a ton of space in my refrigerator. Now my oil will keep much longer. Also, draining the turkey fryer will now be a piece of cake with the large opening. I'm sure I will probably buy a few more of these as I love the large size. They will be great for storing things like flour. I am very satisfied and would recommend these to anyone. I am also glad that they are not glass and will not break if I drop them. I could not imagine cleaning up a gallon of spilt peanut oil if a jar broke. Great product!
