ABC Products Compatible/Replacement mains power supply cable cord lead and wall plug for all Numatic Henry Edward Hetty James George Hoover Vacuum Cleaner (8.4 Metres / 27.5 Feet Long)

I purchased this to replace the cable on a shark vacuum cleaner which was very poor quality. Not an easy swap but miles safer than the factory fitted one.

Despite being advertised as suitable for "all Hoover" (and other) vacuum cleaners, the CSA of the cable supplied (not stated in the listing) is only 0.75mm^2, which is NOT sufficient for a 1900W Hoover SM1901, or any other appliance rated at more than 1400W. Returned.

We bought this because our Henry stopped working and I knew it was the connection of the plug.Copied you tube video and changed lead and now it works perfectly 😀

Worked perfectly to start with but less than a year on and it’s faulty and the plug has burnt out, tripping electrics and filling a room with smoke. Perhaps we were just very unlucky but just something to be cautious of!
