Great price EV home charger- just plug in to outdoor socket
This charger is great. Easy to use and keeps my VW ID3 topped up, to prevent any range anxiety. Leave it charging overnight for lower electricity rates. Get up to 3kw charge- takes about 12 hours to charge from 0 to 100%. I plug it into my outdoor socket for standard plugs on my driveway. Really good price when you compare it to installed chargers that are often £500-£1000. Chargers out and about are often occupied/ not working/ out of reach, so having this at home has really helped.

BEWARE - very close call.
BEWARE - Using this 10amp charger for about 3.5 hours on my PHEV every night since August '23 purchase and it has remained plugged in to a dedicated socket.Until yesterday, no cause for complaint. However, yesterday, I had to charge during the day and fortunately noticed a foul smell of melting plastic. As you can see, the fuse holder on the moulded plug has started to overheat & has caused the socket to burn and crack. The marks on the socket are the<quote>"classic signs of a loose fuse; the fuse holder itself has melted, and there is a brown mark and/or cracks appearing on the socket due to the heat. The clue that the socket has been damaged by an over-heating plug fuse holder, is in the position of the brown mark, which mirrors the position of the fuse in the plug.Whilst this damage is often mistaken as being caused by the socket, there is no plausible route through which a socket could create this pattern of damage"<endquote>.As I cannot afford the time to dispute with the suppliers, I have fitted a heavy duty MK plug & replaced the socket.I have been advised the following, and will check my plug every month (or less if it feels warm):<quote>"How do I check the fuse contacts?Checking that the plug fuse contacts tightly hold the fuse can help prevent issues from occurring. We recommend this occurs on an annual basis, or if you are at all concerned about the plug becoming warm."<endquote>Chinese workmanship ?? Unfortunate incident ? Your choice.

Good build quality but very slow charger
Max I could get on this charger is 2kw, and it takes about 10-12 hours to get 100Kms (Skoda Enyaq). 10M cable is really essential and overall build quality seems good.Pros: Build quality, charger cableCons: Slow charge speed

Excellent, reliable product
Had this charger since November 23. After using other unsuccessful brands I decided to give this one a try and it's proved to be faultless. Never overheats and does what it says on the tin, excellent.

Battery Charge time
Well it does charge my mg4 24plate but very slowly - Not sure if the smart battery intelligence toggle needs to be on. I did drive the car 20mins before charging on a cold night - To charge my battery from 28% - 91% This took 18 hours

Excellent charger
Must admit this isn't the quickest charger on the market however because of the low amps it doesn't overheat or melt our plastic sockets. We are low mileage users of an all electric car so a full charge can last us a week normally on a day when the car isn't needed we just plug it in and let it do its job don't need to set up any routine just switch it on and plug into car then unplug at the end of the day if you require more charges you probably need to choose a higher rated charger but for infrequent charges this is ideal
