Great price. These will kink if you dont run them out straight but are half the price of the next cheapest 1 1/2" fire fighting hoses. The fittings are stout and wont leak.

I bought two of these hoses for a piece of land that we needed to water for grading from the fire hydrant. The very first day, both hoses starting leaking. I only used the 2 hoses for about 4-5 hours. Thats all we used it for. The hose says it's rated at 250 psi and that isn't true. The hydrant has pressure of about 80-85 psi. This information is from the water company itself and its top guy in charge. I am not one to return things unless they are defective. Thanks, Brian

This is an inexpensive 1.5" hose made in China. My hose says that it is CCC certified, which is China Compulsory Certification. I see now that on this Amazon listing and the Ace Fire Preparedness website, this is now marked as FM approved. The website has the certificate number which I am going to take as genuine. That said, the entrepreneur behind Ace Fire's main qualification appears to be that he helps build the Tony Robbins fire-walking fires, and he cares a lot about wildfire defense. And from the additional cards inside the wrench package, it would appear that Sherwin "Ace" Ross also has a line of denim clothing. Be that as it may, the fire hydrant wrench from Ace Fire is okay quality for an inexpensive tool. This hose, likewise, is a low cost item (single walled, not double; aluminum couplers, not brass) but appears to be consistently manufactured with no visible flaws. I will be performing a leak test as soon as it is warm enough for me to work outside and will report back if there are any problems. I would choose this hose as an inexpensive standy-by hose, not for day-in, day-out use. The price for a 75ft length is competitive for this low end of the market, though I note that earlier prices from Ace Fire were significantly higher.
