I have bought other spy gear items for my 9 year old grandson but this has become his favorite. He wears it every day. Watch has a whistle, secret compartment for notes, telescoping lens, and mirror. The watch keeps accurate time and has a built in stop watch and alarm. This was a great buy....

Kid loved it while it lasted, but it broke after a while. Sounds better on paper than in reality.

My son bought this with his own money. He was so excited and has shown it off to everyone he meets. Everyone gives him lots of compliments and tells him how cool it is. So you can imagine his devastation when it stopped working less than 2 months after he bought it. First off, the one thing he hated about it before it broke was it doesn't stay closed. The top flops around a lot. It needs a magnet or clip to keep it closed. That didn't keep him from wearing it, but it was definitely annoying. At first we thought it was the battery. The battery is EXTREMELY difficult to replace and it takes a very odd battery. We had to order special ones just for this watch, and they're not cheap batteries. It then took minor surgery to get everything removed and get to the battery. After finally getting the battery replaced, it still was broken. The clock itself still works, but other parts of the screen do not. He's going to keep wearing it because of the cool other features, but he's so bummed that it doesn't work already. And to have spent money on those ridiculous batteries only for it to not fix the issue was aggravating. Be warned that if your child gets attached to this watch, they will be disappointed in just 2 short months.
