Enjoyable
Alex Vane, a paper journalist who wants to make it to TV gets involved in a murder plot. The media and internet empire is at stake and so are the lives of Alex and Camila, a professor related to one of the victims. The characters were well developed and realistic. The plot was interesting and kept me engaged till the end.Only the ending few chapters felt rushed but otherwise very entertaining.

Mixed fare
Occasionally readable but an opportunity missed. Perplexingly the writer seems to think that descriptions of people eating are a great literary device. Reams in this book are wasted on she put this morsel in her mouth and he chewed xxx and so on.The main character is likeable but not really well developed . Genuinely an opportunity wasted.

Don't lecture me
Bit of a lumpy book with several elements lashed together. The main plot is a thriller by numbers, which take it from me, doesn't thrill. Alongside that there's also an in depth exploration of one character's emotions as she comes to terms with her dying father. This is mildly interesting but does hold up the plot. Plus there's a big lump of media studies 101 where we get lectured about the danger of media ownership being concentrated in a few powerful organisations. Yes, we agree - we've all heard of Rupert Murdoch, thank you. Can we get back to the story now?I can see what the author was trying to do, but frankly it would have been a better book if he'd just concentrated on the story and left out the lectures.

Great Start To A New Series
Well, this is a great start to a new series. I really enjoyed it and I've only knocked one star off as I wasn't a fan of the "airy-fairy" stuff that Camila tends to bring along with her. I liked HER, just not all that mindfulness nonsense. I found myself glazing over at all that stuff, and the story really didn't need it, I don't think. I liked Alex and the little team he now works with as well, so I'm looking forward to the next instalment in this series.Since it was partly set on 9/11, it does make you wonder how many just did some pretty rapid thinking and bumped someone off or disappeared and started a new life in the midst of all that carnage....the author made a remark about 9/11 ending the popularity of boybands which went right over my head ??Another thing he does, which did start to irritate, is to go into every single morsel either Camila or Alex ate, the whole way through !!There are a couple of real shockers near the end !! So it's well worth sticking with this. The only mistake all the way through was almost on the last page where one fullstop was dropped, so that deserves a massive round of applause, too. It's not often I get to see this, trust me.

Thrilling Murder & Conspiracy Thriller.
The Anonymous Source is my introduction to the writing of AC Fuller and if the rest is half as good I will be looking for a lot more. There is so much to like about this book from the easy to follow writing style to the detail of Alex Vanes working life to the settings that come alive and then there’s the characters that are all very real. Each one has their own quirks and fears and personal motivations that gives them life. The story starts with the September Eleventh attacks on the World Trade Centre but takes in a great many more twists and turns before the end. It’s a very entertaining book that I’d recommend to crime thriller fans.

Lights, Camera, Action
A story full of intrigue, who is after Alex, did his parents really have an accident or was it deliberate. Alex and Camila run for their lives, will they find the truth about the death of Martin before manage to free the person that has been set up for it, or has he?It’s exciting, full of action and will keep you gripped to the end.Excellently written, great plot and easily identifiable characters.Book two here I come.

Almost so many things
This is a complex book at some levels dealing with Murdoch press types and Internet freedoms and other times focusing on deep personal parent child relationships and also trying to fit in a thriller, keeping two of the lead characters alive while they try to solve a murder all during the trial of the "fall guy". Another facet is the "deep throat" (of Watergate fame) character who involves himself on the side of the angels, whilst obviously in possession of knowledge that can only have come from the dark side, as it were. I am not sure the whole grand plan actually fits together seamlessly. As opposed to ending the book sort of just stops, with the final twist or perhaps I should say twists are too bizarre to make a real ending
