Very well made cable, and correctly wired for unbalanced !
I am using this cable to connect an XLR output from a mixer to a Hyperboom active loudspeaker. It works just great - sound is rich and full. For this application it is necessary to use an unbalanced cable which connects XLR pin 2 to both the Tip and the Ring on the 3.5mm jack plug, with XLR pins 1 and 3 being commoned and connected to the Shield. If you use a balanced cable instead, it results in a "thin", distorted sound...

A very particular cable that worked for me
This was the perfect cable for me. I used it to go between the XLR DI output of a musical instrument and the 3.5mm stereo AUX input of a bluetooth loudspeaker. It's a very particular requirement. The cable converts the balanced output of the XLR DI to unbalanced and presents the signal to both the left and right channels (i.e.tip and ring) of the 3.5mm jack.

Ordered what I thought was 2 x 3.5 mm headphone jack to XLR received completely the wrong cable One of the cables was the perfect. The other one was a quarter inch. Jack not fit for purpose, re-ordered 3.5 mm headphone to XLR eventually got the right cable sent incorrect cable back received refund
