Ade Advanced Optics Red Dot Optic Adapter/Converter Mount Plate for 1911 Novak Rear Sight Pistol

Pleasantly surprised at the ease of this install. The dovetail piece fit semi-snug with light sanding and definitely needs a pusher (but you do NOT need to crank down) to get it in, but once set, the rest is plug and play. Took about 10 minutes over all (including minor adjustments for optics/alignment) to install and fits perfectly. I would recommend you review your manufacturer as some makes/models have a dovetail or lo-mount that might be a little too steep/short for this item to work, so do your diligence before purchasing, I just happened to have the correct cut.

Does not fit. The part that is suppose to be in the novak shape isn't even close. Garbage..

Compared to the Ruger Security 9 plate, this was a perfect fit. Very easy to install. Didn't have to use a vise. Installed in seconds. Still need to take it to the range to test. So far, the fit is as good as it can be for a plate. I like the curved profile that wraps the top of the slide perfectly. Installed on a Girsan Untouchable MC1911 S

I had to modify this to use on my rock armory 1911. It fit but not great. Will be looking for a more suitable mount. Does not hold zero.

I remember that it stated that you should probably not purchase if you own a Taurus or a Ruger 1911, due to inconsistent placement and lack of Novak Sight on the Taurus. Remember Taurus like's too copy designs from other manufacturers not use the same exact standard cuts. I've installed the plates on 3 different brands ( Colt, Kimber, and Springfield Armory) alphabetically named not in the order of accuracy or performance. I only use a reflex sight on one of the 1911's and the other 2 are now increased in value by having these plates installed. Best of all, because 99% of the 1911 market is standardized (not Taurus) purchasing slides on many custom sites that already have the optic mounted or the plate mounted for a lot less money these days I’d you are not comfortable with doing some gunsmith work on your own. I’m not disrespecting you or your pistol, odd's are you are an awesome shooter. But leaving a poor review of a product that stated that it was specifically not intended for use with your pistol is not fair. Peace…..

This Will not work with Holosun 407 or 507

Purchased this to use with life green dot sight either this plate or the sight are not RMR standard. Pins on the plate are too narrow to fit the sight and mounting hole screw spacing is off! Very disappointed!
