Happy Feet: Dynamic Base, Effortless Posture: Franklin ball and imagery exercises for the feet, knees, and lower legs Review: Practical and fun - Happy Feet is a short book that's filled with simple exercises that improve balance, proprioception, strength, posture, and your mental image of how your feet/body move. I could tell from just one session doing maybe 10 of the exercises that my feet were worked out in places I could've never gotten to without using this book and the green Franklin balls. I get that it's pricey, but I feel like it's worth the money to work with your feet as they're meant to move. Also, Eric Franklin explains how each exercise affects your feet and your body. I highly recommend this book - your feet affect everything in your body! Review: Works well. Much more than anticipated. - I cannot believe all the things you can do with these balls! They are SO much better than using tennis balls it's no comparison. There are many different exercises in this little book. They look simple to do, but they are really more complicated or challenging than you might imagine. I have plantar problems and these exercises really do help quite a bit. Many of the activities involve using both feet at the same time which taps into your core and balance, which is good. They are very sturdy and will not break, but they don't hurt your feet when using them. I use these in combination with individual Pilates instruction.

Great booklet
Helpful book for movement awareness. Gentle but important movements. Gives me new perspective as pilates instructor. Wish it came with a video.

good program for your feet
Lots of color photos that illustrate the exercises. Some of the exercises are also in his book, Conditioning for Dance. http://www.amazon.com/Conditioning-Dance-Eric-Franklin/dp/0736041567/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1418485618&sr=1-5&keywords=eric+franklin&pebp=1418485641372 but they are easier to follow here. This will challenge your sense of balance. He also provides cues for imagery such as a visualizing a fountain of water supporting your arches. Requires an exercise band and small balls that you can stand on.

More like the instructions that should have come with the balls instead of a separate purchase.
I think this is overpriced for what you get. It seems more like the instruction manual that should have come with the balls, not something you should buy separately. For this price I was expecting a regular book. I first purchased the balls by themselves expecting them to come with something like this book. They didn't come with any instructions. I decided to order the book so I would have instructions and expected it to be much more in-depth than I needed to use the balls but probably good information. I'm pretty disappointed with this concept.

A very helpful + clearly presented guide
I am very happy with this book! Others have complained about the price, but OPTP sells other manuals like this one for a similar price — I own six other OPTP manuals (written by Angela Kneale) and they were about the same number of pages. When information is helpful and is presented clearly, then it doesn’t always have to take a lot of pages. This is a good thing, no?

Not a book, but a pamphlet.
Not even close to worth the price. About three pages of useful foot exercises. Mostly an ad, selling Thera Bands as "Franklin bands".

Simple and useful
This book contains a lot of useful information. I have already begun to use the exercises and can feel a difference in my feet and ankles. I recommend that you also purchase the 2 balls shown on the cover.
