Works well for its purpose, recommended.
Let me start by saying that you should keep your expectations at bay: it's a $25 plastic fingerprint lock. It's perfect for keeping things out of reach of children, for example. If you're trying to keep valuables safe from burglars, you need a proper safe and not this product. It would be quite easy for a mildly-skilled adult to open this lock with a simple bent metal tool, or for anyone over 12 y/o with a screwdriver to pry it open, so keep that in mind.Having said that, it works very well after setting up the fingerprints (which is not as hard as some reviewers say it is - procedure below). It also comes with a USB-C key that can be used to unlock it if you have problems (it'll allow any finger to open it once inserted), which looks just like a USB adapter, so it's inconspicuous. Just make sure to keep the key in a safe place (and not inside where this lock is installed, obviously). How to add fingerprints:1) As soon as you plug the sensor into the lock and install batteries for the first time, the lock will open with any fingerprint. Start by holding a finger on the sensor. The lock will open, then close, and then the LED will stay blue. That means it's ready to program.2) Repeatedly scan the new fingerprint you want to add (touch and remove) until the LED stays green for longer and then turns blue again. 5 successful scans are needed for each finger you want to add. Note: Make sure to change the position of the finger on the sensor ever so slightly, to make sure it's less sensitive to small changes in finger position. If you get a red LED it means that scan failed or the finger is already registered.3) Once the LED turns blue (after 5 successful scans), start scanning a different fingerprint right away.4) Repeat until you scanned all fingerprints you want to register, then just wait for a few seconds and it'll get out of programming mode by itself.Note: If you take too long to scan a new finger and it gets out of programming mode, use an already scanned finger to re-enter programming mode (step 1). This is also how you add more fingerprints later on.If the lock isn't opening with any finger when you insert batteries on it for the first time, I'm not sure but you might be able to use the supplied key to enable any finger, and then reset the lock (remove all fingerprints). Check the manual, there's a reset procedure there with LED colors to watch for.Installation requires low to average skills, mainly because getting the lock itself bolted at the correct height might be challenging for someone who's never done any DIY. Other than that, drilling the hole for the fingerprint reader is easy. Just be careful when drilling through IKEA furniture, because those are basically glued sawdust, so it might be best to drill a pilot hole through and then drill from both sides to prevent it from looking like a bullet exit hole from the other side, which can make it tricky to bolt the reader in place. It works very fast, even though it might require a second attempt every 2 or 3 times. I'm sure if I program the same finger at a different position it'll be much better. But again: it's a $25 fingerprint lock.Only issue I had is that it was missing a couple of screws to bolt the reader to the furniture, but that's not a big deal.

Pretty cheaply built and flimsy, what do you expect for the price I guess

Very bad quality and not at all useful
Basic criteria of a lock is it should be strong and sturdy, this is made of very bad quality plastic and the electronics do not look reliable at all. And the lock does not even fix properly due to its poor quality and the wires are so thin, it will just break. Disappointing product. Amazon should stop Indian companies selling cheap quality Chinese products as their own.
