Schwarzkopf Styling Volume Lift Hairspray, Extra Strong Hold, 400 ml,package may vary

I have a chin length bob-cut, but hair that is very (post-menopausely) thin, fine, flat, but frizzy on top. It's also coloured to keep the greys at bay. As such, I need to use frizz control products and conditioner that tends to weigh my hair down even further, leaving my haircut looking very flat. I decided to give this hairspray a go, it was a large can for a small price, so it seemed worth it and Schwarzkopf is a brand with a good reputation. (I will usually only use Elnett, my absolute favourite and trusted hairspray, so I didn't make the decision to change lightly!) I am totally amazed by the transformation of my hair! I just lifted up small sections at random, gave a quick squirt from the can and bingo! My hair looks fuller, thicker, and now has the lovely round look I like in a bob-cut. Skill mcgill... or more accurately, absolutely no skill required whatsoever! A little goes a long way, so I suspect I won't be replacing the can too soon. The spray comes out in a fine mist, more like I would expect from a far more expensive product, and as long as as you don't overload your hair then it stays soft. It brushes out easily as well, with no stickiness or residue. My style held all day even though it was very blustery. The only thing I really don't like is the smell of the spray, which is quite chemical. To be honest, it's probably more like an unscented hairspray, because the smell doesn't linger for long and you can safely wear your favourite perfume without worrying about a conflict of interests. Definitely worth the money, especially considering the size of the can. Easily holds its own against more expensive brands.

I absolutely love this hairspray, it’s great at adding and maintaining volume in my long fine hair. I previously used the Shine variety by the same brand and this one gives much better volume. It’s a lovely fine mist which doesn’t weigh hair down or leave it feeling sticky. Having fine porous hair I’m very prone to product build up but haven’t had an issue with this hairspray - a good brush removes it easily. It’s very reasonably priced too. What’s not to love!

The actual hairspray is as good as previous orders unfortunately despite quite a bit of bubble wrap the cap was really broken and had to be thrown away so hence only 4 stars.

Wife wanted to try a new brand of hair spray as the usual well known one was heavily scented and overpowering even after several hours. This one gets the thumbs up. Good quality finish and does not irritate the scalp. A light pleasant fragrance that diminishes and would not clash with perfume so I am told.
