Q: can these be used to filter wine, are they sterile, food grade?

They were the grade used to filter beer so I imagine fine for wine. They are most likely sterile before opening but would not be once opened in an un-sterile environment. You could moisten them with grail alcohol, or dampen and microwave wrapped in a paper towel or coffee filter. I was hoping they would filter out some of the dark color in an alcohol extraction but that did not happen. They do well for minuscule solids however.
