Works like a magic ✨🪄!!!
Works like a charm. I used to get lots of red toilet rings and shower head was tirning red due to water hardness. After installing this it is night and day difference. All the red spots are gone. Definitely recommend it.

Surprisingly It Works
We moved into a new construction home which unfortunately has hard water. Plumbing was already set up for a water softener, but the prospect of toting 40 lb. salt bags to my basement for the foreseeable future was not an attractive option. Nevertheless, we were getting build up on faucets and appliances and we knew something needed to be done. I saw the descaler on sale for $67 with coupon. I was skeptical this could work, but at the price, worth the try. Installation was easy. I already had an outlet in my basement ceiling for the softener. I was to create a mounting bracket for the descaler with some left-over peg board which worked very well (see photo). After winding the wire tightly around the pipe, I turned on the system and hoped for the best. After 17 days of running, we have noticed significant reduction in scale build up. The manual indicates that after 3 months old scale should be removed, and no new scale should form. It appears this is well on its way to happening. Avoiding the installation and maintenance of a water softener for the cost of several bags of salt is a marvelous outcome to my hard water problem.

Not effective on very hard water
I have had a few of these over the years and definitely like the product overall. If you have very hard water this will not make a huge impact but does help having the water feel a bit softer. I have had to do a water softener along with this solution so I would recommend if you have a hardness level of less than for example 10 would be a good effective solution.

It works
This descaler works. I've had it for 3 years now in 2 different rentals. The previous rental did make semi hard water softer. The current rental had water so hard my hands would dry out and crack after washing them 2-3 times, no exaggeration. After putting this in for ab 1-2 months there was a significant difference and my skin would not dry as before. I then installed an inline water filter in all my sinks which then made the water completely normal. All that to say it works. Won't do miracles but makes a difference.

Not sure it works as stated
Power usage: I measured mine with a kilowatt meter and it only showed 2 watts max. I'm not sure it's doing anything since the transformer specs say 0.3 amps. If you multiply this by 120 vols it's about 36 watts. I assume it uses less watts than this. I read somewhere it cost $0.36 to run a month. The lights on mine work when plugged in. I measured several things in the past with the kilowatt meter and it works fine but on low power consumption at around 2 watts it may not be that accurate. However, if some has a different experience someone please comment and let me know. What is inside: I opened the box to make sure things were connected properly. The connections were fine but all I saw was a circuit board and an attached board for the light output display. Install: My water was flowing from right to left. I wrapped the wire as instructed when going this way. If the water flowed left to right then the wrap is different. Pay particular attention to the winding directions in the instructions.

Very Satisfied!
First, a little info as to how we are using this: we have well water so I installed a whole house sediment filter prior to my water softener (WS). The WS has a 'salt saver' setting, which means that the recharge uses a lot less salt in the process but also has less effectiveness and must be recharged more often, usually after about 7 days. I installed this unit on the pipe coming out of the WS. We've had it for two weeks and this is the result; literally, on the first day, we noticed that a lot less hand soap was needed. After several days, my wife (who is very picky) said that she is using less than HALF of the amount of laundry soap that she was using before. After 11 days, I did a recharge on the WS even though I didn't think I needed it. In spite of having a whole house sediment filter, we always got rust stains in the water closets of our toilets. I checked this the other day and found that the stains are gone, so I'd have to believe that this unit is also 'cleaning' out the rest or our plumbing, including the hot water tank. It is hard to impress me, but this has done the trick. I'm seriously thinking that when the day comes to replace the WS, I will just add another filter and skip the WS, which would be a huge savings. In all, this is a very effective product that really worked for me.

Easy install to try and reduce hard water mineral deposits in the pipes
I just installed the Timilge ED2021 Electronic Water Descaler: fairly easy setup. See attached pic of notice on reverse side, and video of operation. Many similar-looking devices (ED2000, ED2021, some use flat ribbons instead of round wires, etc) out there over a wide price range, so look for the reviews. These do not reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS); they are supposed to reduce the accumulation of hard water mineral deposits in the pipes. For lower TDS, you need a Reverse Osmosis system (which I have), or a salt-based water softener (which I want to avoid). I'll post an update in a few months to note any improvement.

I have a sandpoint well with an elevated calcium content. The level wasn't drastically high but enough that once a week a quick scrub of the toilet bowl was needed. Dishes were always clean but had a chalky feeling to it. I first conducted the soap in a bottle test to see how much suds I had and then installed the descaler. Installation was straight forward and easy. I let the water pump cycle and then filled the water bottle again with a drop of dish soap, over a 50% increase in suds. It has now been over 2 weeks and the water keeps improving, less scale in the toilet and a marketable change in the surface feeling of dishes and glasses out of the dishwasher. So far I am impressed with the results.

It is important to know that this device does not remove calcium or lime from your home. But what it does do is release it from the pipes and seems to convert it into a fine dust like substance prior to installing we had issues with all our faucets building up Deposits. It took a few months to work, but now we are having no issues with deposits building up in our plumbing.
