Impressive! I’m thrilled with the price and all the fun options. For what this cost, if I have to replace it here and there, I’m still ahead of the game. There is a 24 hour mode that starts with orangey sunrise colors, gets brighter during the day, and ends up fading into blues and then turns itself off OR you can choose your color and increase or decrease the intensity. Very nice product. I turned the suction cups around and have it attached to the glass tank lid, facing down into the tank. It is submersible but that’s not what I was looking for. I’m starting of dim for my betta and will increase brightness in the morning. Very pleased so far.

Ordered May 1, 2023: Adheres well to the bottom of the glass aquarium lid, it's never once fallen in (Aug 2025) The light is adjustable, with 5 levels of white between dim and quite bright, and it holds the brightness setting from one day to the next. It does also have several lighting color options, and occasionally I review them, but don't use them as I just prefer white light. It has shown a bit of condensation, and at times a bit of algae on the surface, which I clean off, but it continues to function flawlessly after more than 2 years. The timer control is a bit basic, but I'm okay with that. It will slowly brighten at the beginning of the light cycle, and dim at the end. The 12 inch light fits a 5 gallon tank perfectly

I love this aquarium light. I placed it on the 24 hour program and it’s a delight to watch it create a sunrise and sunset, and daylight in between. I hot-glued the light to the underside of the aquarium cover because the section cups were not sufficient to attach the light. But so far it is working beautifully.

Nice aquarium light enhances the appearance of your tank. Has numerous colors for both appearance and for plant growth. Can be used in or out of the water. The only issue I have is trying to program the remote to turn on gradually and seem like daylight. The instructions are vague and don’t contain a lot of information. The size works well for a 10 gallon aquarium.

UPDATE: Customer service was fantastic. They sent me a new lamp free of charge. I've had this since February and most of the lights are dead, affecting the whole left side of my tank. Original review: Has my plants growing like champs. Has fallen into the water without any issues. Suction cups aren't great on a plastic lid but that's a big ask.

It took a bit of effort to understand the user's manual, but once I figured out the process, the product works better than I expected. I use the 24 hour program and enjoy the color and intensity changes provided by the light. Most of my fish have seemed to adapt to the new light except my angel fish. I bought this light as a replacement for the aqueon light that came with my 35 gal hexagonal tank (7 years ago). I did fasten the light to the tank lid using some wire ties so as not to depend on the provided suction cup rigging.

I had a similarly shaped light strip that I really liked--but it is not longer sold and have suffered through other styles until this one became available. Just what I wanted--and this is why. I did try it with the suction cups on the aquarium hood, but as others have mentioned, they only stay stuck for a while. I did not want to try this in the aquarium because of the way it looks, and because with other submersibles I ended up with algae growth. Then I realized--I could just take the suction cups off and attach it to the top like my other light. There are velcro-like plastic strips available, they stick together like velcro only sturdier, and they attach with strong adhesive. I still have the strips on my tank hood from several years ago, so it took seconds to stick the strips to the back of the light and put it in place. This has worked incredibly well for me. Other lights I have tried just always had issues--I have just kept the hood that came with the aquarium and wanted to replace the lights there. This works!! Many lights don't last that are this shape because they really are not supposed to get wet--since this one is submersible, getting a little wet from condensation or splashes won't damage it. I do wish it was a little easier to use the controls. I have difficulty understanding the instructions--and there seems to be no way to set the time, you just have to be there at the right time to start the timer. Someone mentioned numbers corresponding to times, but I sure don't see that on mine. I only want the light on no more than 6 hours, I think I finally have it figured out, but if this does not end up working, I will just turn the timer off and hook it up to the timer I have been using--I would prefer to be able to buy lights without these built in features, but that seems to be no longer possible. I have seen good reviews of this brand for other products, so did not hesitate to order this and was not disappointed. I have a wide screen 24 inch tank, but ordered a 12 inch light which gives plenty of light. I do have live plants, we'll see how they do, but I limit the light due to a persistent algae problem anyway. This light works great so far.

I have had this light for a month and my plants are absolutely growing like crazy!! Tripled in size in the last month. The 24 hour cycle is perfect. I never have to worry about it. The fish look very cool under the blue moonlight. This light is awesome for the price!

Worth-it. The suction holder is not good. Better use a double sided tap for hanging. The 24/7 light setting is awesome.

Nice light. You can adjust the brightness & colors. Only thing others have said that the instructions are very hard to understand regarding adjusting the timer I agreed with. I just us a separate timer.
