You'll need very small apples for one of these stingy sheets. It's not anywhere near the size of the package. It's good caramel, but you have to cut extras from the other circles if you don't have timey apples.

I remember making these as a kid, and when I saw them I thought it would be a nice project/snack. I did two in the oven, one in the microwave and one in the air fryer. The microwave one worked, but even 30 seconds cooked the center of the apple and made it mushy. The air fryer was a disaster- that was my bad. The oven ones worked the best. NONE OF THEM WERE EDIBLE! I don’t know if the caramel was old or what, but once they cooled for an hour they were so hard we couldn’t even cut them easily, let alone chew them. I gave up, chopped it all up with my giant cleaver, cooked them in some butter and cream and ate it over vanilla ice cream just so I didn’t waste $6.DO NOT BUY THIS! Go get caramel dip from the grocery store and eat with sliced apples, or find a candy store/grocery store that sells caramel apples nearby (I recommend Gertrude Hawk- the apples are $8, but they are HUGE and delicious).

I used to buy these at my local store , looked for over a year and I found them here! Yes, they are expensive since I was paying $2.50 for a pack but I can not help myself... I love them and don’t feel bad since I am having an Apple:-) I can eat a pack in a day! In Virginia we just never keep the good stuff:-(

Note: When Walmart has this in stock this package is less than $3.00 but buy a bunch because it sells out quickly. It is usually located in produce by the apples. if you use this, heat your apple a tiny bit before spreading apple on it. If it is wet and cold, the caramel is harder to get to stick! Also do not use big apples or it won's cover.
