HURRICANE 24 Inch Folding Tool, Sheet Metal Bending Tool for HVAC, Bending and Forming Metal

This thing is great. I bought a roll of .4mm flashing to reinforce 2x4s on gates and fencing against naughty dogs. (I wanted something thick enough that they're not going to bite through and create an even worse situation.) I figured I could just staple or nail it on one side, wrap it around, and attach it on the other. Ha ha ha ha. Yeah...no. I mentioned the issue to a friend who said I need a metal brake. Okie dokie. I asked around and all I could find was an industrial-sized one 40 minutes away. So I started looking online. I found them for, like, $75 and up. Probably worth it, but...I'm on a pretty tight budget, so I kept looking and found this! Now, granted, I wanted to fold 2" and this maxes at 1", but it still works because I just wrap three sides instead of two. (Even less attractive, but possibly more durable.) And the longest stretch I need is 3' with most under 2', so this is great. Rather than the little folding tools that just do 3" at a time, most of my needs would be met in one go with this. I've only done one piece so far (the long one), but it worked perfectly. And if I ever finish this project, it'll make a great straight edge! I'm totally happy with this purchase.

Works great in a pinch. I don’t have room to store or money to buy a metal break so this is what I use for small bends. Glad to have it for misc projects.

Great tool for the homeowner or professional. I installed a new furnace and AC in my home and this came in hady for bending the metal for our transitions.

The tool is what it's supposed to be, very sturdy and does the job. But the shipping - oh my! First one arrived as an empty box. I thought someone was playing a practical joke on me. The tool had evidently slipped out the end of the box, between the tape and the corner. So it was a box of packing paper and nothing else. I reported it to Amazon and the replacement (of the 24" one) won't arrive for 4 or more weeks. So I ordered this shorter one. It was sticking half way out of a torn slot in the box but actually arrived. The box was otherwise stuffed with paper. Methinks these tools need something taped or adhered to them to stay in the box during shipping.

Heavy duty, I help operate a trade school and we ordered multiples of these and they hold up extremely well! 100s of apprentices go through the program and these get will used and abused and have stayed true so far

The weld or however this tool holds together, break open if used on metal thicker than 26ga, had to do some custom bends working with 24ga and it popped open.
