I have shot two deer using the Maifield Broadheads so far this season. Both deer were shot with the same arrow and broadhead! Both shots went completely through the deer and stuck into the ground about half way up the shaft.I found it easy to sharpen the broadhead after the first shot using a kitchen knife sharpening stone. I was not used to being able to reuse the broadheads since I have been using the expandable heads for a few years. They would almost always break when shot. I had few arrows go through the deer with the expandable heads through the years also and I believe this is due to the power lost when the blades expand on impact.With a crossbow, the arrow does fly flat, but looses power quickly since it is a light in weight arrow.These fixed blade broadheads have more power for the kill. I found that the lung or liver that took the hit was almost turned into a hamburger-like consistency. One of the deer traveled 20 yards and died within 3 minutes and the other 22 yards and lived for 8 minutes. The most important thing to me when hunting is a quick clean kill. I feel these broadheads give me the best chance of that happening.These heads fly true and are consistent (I use 125 grain). I couldn't be happier with them.

the short of it:Sharp and they fly straight. I shot one several times into a target, dead center every time and the penetration was far better than muzzy trocar. So I screwed the other 2 onto arrows & off to the stand I went..I harvested a deer with this broadhead yesterday, it hit hard and blasted straight through. He made it a hop and 2 steps.. then dropped! Don't hesitate to buy these, they are great..regress:I bought these for the 25g versatility. I sighted in a new bow with 100g field points to an acceptable grouping then threw on a muzzy 100g and flung it into a target a couple times. The poi was about 4 inches high consistently. Then I grabbed 'old faithful' my Mathews MQ-32 from the 1900's .. field points dead on, broadheads hit high! All my missed deer mysteries were solved, ha..not really, anyhow, I decided that before I got into adjusting my pins for a 20yrd target and 20yrd field shot, I'd try a heavier broadhead. Problem solved.

Looked structurally sound for a good pass throughs, did a lot of reading on product information regarding others success for use in a crossbow. As a traditionalist with a shoulder injury having to switch to a cross is a new journey for me, I will up date this post pending use this fall for deer, pigs, and elk.

Dull upon arrival. Sending them back. Product looks and seems fine but they’re cheap and you get what you pay for.

Very sharp and they cut through my target. I will see how they do on a live target in two weeks.

I use to use the Bear Broadhead. This is the closest I can find today. I use these with a #40 recurve bow for deer. They work. I don't use the collar that comes with them. I don't need the extra weight and they fly fine. If your arrows have a stiffer spine, then you might want the extra weight. I usually shoot 30 yards or less. They will cut right through a rib. Easy to resharpen.

Super soft metal. I used them for 1 session into a foam target and they broke, bent, and failed. Save your money.
