Good bright light that’s small and portable but also bright

I actually found this light to be pretty disappointing, considering the relatively high price point. I have no complaints about the quality of the light output, which is fine (although I don’t really see any difference between this ‘ChromaReal’ technology and any other LED light – it sounds a lot like marketing jargon). The unit itself feels quite cheap; constructed from some brittle feeling plastics. But it is the many of the details that are disappointing. The accelerometer function feels like a ridiculous gimmick – another button would have been far more practical. Buying a product in 2024 that doesn’t have a USB-C connector is simply unacceptable (this uses a micro-USB). The IPX4 rating is also not very impressive. The battery capacity is on par with similar units, so no complaints there. It would have been really nice (given the price tag) to have included some kind of pouch. I think if I had paid half the amount for it, I would have considered it OK. However, at eighty pounds it really does feel extremely overpriced.

The warm light setting is perfect for a relaxed illumination. These things are so durable. I love the metal hooks in the bottom to hang them from anything. I take these camping, I take them to festivals, I use them on my bedside table as a "chill" reading lamp. They are so easy to charge and to change the settings. It's fun to have 2 of them on the slow rotating rainbow or the party settings to have a vivid array of light when listening to music or just setting a mood. I bought more of these for my parents for their RV. Worth it! I have had them for over a year and they are still my favorite lamp for any occasion, especially outdoor parties.

I consider it too big and heavy for backpacking (get the mini for that). It is perfect for car camping and canoe camping. It has 4 modes. The white light is very bright, it can be dimmed by continuing to press on the power button. The candle is less bright and yellow(ed). A plain color. A dual color. With the last 3, shaking provides a flickering candle and rotating color. It had dual ports; it is easy to charge, takes no batteries, and will charge a phone. It is rain proof, not leave in a puddle proof. Perfect for a little light while eating or sitting around the fire. I got it 25% off. 4 stars at full price.

Use it a lot when working around the house, better than a torch. Very bright and recharging is quick. Best little light we have added to our survival pack!
