Really happy with this system. We were customers for a company that offered phone, internet, cable and security and the rising costs over the years led us to look elsewhere. It got to the point where we were sticking with that company because we were paying one bill instead of 4-5. The logic.So we left, joined another company that covered everything but Security. My in laws recommended their Simplisafe system so I looked into it and ordered this kit. I figure I can handle a self install so shouldn't be too bad, and it wasn't.If you know even a little bit about how security systems work you can figure this out quite well, but what I really liked is that even after I planned out where all the sensors were going to go, the kit says to download the app before you even start installing anything. I went with it, and all the installation tips are in the app, step by step during setup and connection to the base station. I thought that was a nice touch, although my wife got annoyed at listening to the setup continually since there are voice prompts for every sensor added to the system. I found out after everything was done that the system stays in test mode for a couple days which I also thought was a good idea so I proceeded to set off each sensor. Two things I messed up; turns out the outdoor camera automatically defaults to broadcasting alarms. One of the neighbors came over and rang the doorbell and asked if we were ok. I supposed that feature would be handy in some circumstances but we don't need it so I turned it off. Thanks neighbors! Turns out I installed both motion sensors upside down too, but I installed them last and didn't really pay attention to the directions so that was on me. Neither one worked at all so I had to take them off and flip them over. No biggie but I thought it was funny. Once adjusted everything worked well, pet mode on the motion sensors works fine, neither of our cats set off the sensors, but as soon as any of us stood up or moved it picked us up.I chose the top end subscription and so far it's working better than the system we had before. I do miss having an extra mode called night mode on our old system that automatically set all the sensors to instant alarm, but I figured out how to get Home mode fairly close to that on all the doors but one. The app is very user friendly and intuitive once you figure out what you want to do and how to get there.I've since added on a doorbell cam, water sensor, another outdoor cam and an overhead door sensor to our system so I can monitor if the garage is open or not (I have an app driven opener but haven't figured out how to get it to send me push notifications if the door is open past a certain time). Adding the additional sensors has been just as easy at the initial setup.Overall after a few days I'd count myself as a fan. I didn't even mention how well boxed the kit was. My son noticed that the unboxing was sort of like an experience because of how well everything is grouped together and the order they'd like you to go for installation. That was nice too.

I have two full systems, one at my house and one at hers. Have all the different type sensors, and am amazed at how fast the system is. When it goes off, they blow up your phone with 3 text’s messages and calls which is great since it gets your attention. I tested a water sensor once, literally was 10 seconds before my phone blew up. That’s also been my experience when it’s a legit trip of ANY sensor. I love the ease of it, and how it’s set up. I’ve had hard wired systems in the past, name brand monitored ones, this is hands downthe best, most efficient and priced, system. I’ve had my system up and running for two years, hers about six months and I have nothing but good to say about my experience with this company and system. It’s also awesome that you can piece meal different sensors, and that there’s sensors for everything.

As a single female, I was determined to buy a safety system that I could troubleshoot and install by myself and be able to easily arm and disarm. SimpliSafe is mostly intuitive to install. You require wifi for installation and to follow its steps. I love the easy use of its app and how easily I can arm it from my phone. 10/10 recommend to any boss lady who is looking for a simple peace of mind while protecting their new home.

The best decision we made this year was to switch to Simplisafe and this package offered a great deal for the money. The system was very easy to install and is self-intuitive. If we had any questions, they were quickly and completely answered by tech support. It was so easy to set up and add devices -- to date, we have actually added more devices to our system. The keypad was very easy to operate and worked seamlessly. We decided to purchase an additional keypad so we'll have one close to every entrance/exit. We also decided to add a smoke detector and water sensors so Simplisafe can monitor us for burglary, panic, fire and water. It was also easy to subscribe to one of their three monitoring plans. To top it off, there is no contract required, you can change plans or quit the plan anytime you like. Lastly, the phone app is very useful -- you can monitor what's happening at your house while you are away and you can turn the system on and off using the phone app. Our only regret is we didn't switch to Simplisafe earlier.
