Great little camera!
***UPDATE March 2021*** I take it all back! As thought, it turns out I had a faulty camera... ieGeek reached out to me and sent me a brand new one - WOW what a difference! Crystal clear picture and strong WiFi (no drop-outs like the previous one) and the colours are true-to-life - much more along the lines of what I was expecting (basically the same performance as my IG62 but at a higher resolution/better definition) Experimenting with the motion detection at present - think some of the issue was caused by the poor image quality of the initial camera as does seem a little more responsive... Thank you ieGeek support for your support and service... 10/10! ---- Initial review posted:... Disappointing performance and very poor WiFi Well, I have to say I just do not rate this camera... Initial setup is easy enough and the app is fine but I feel let down by the camera itself... Like others, I seem to be experiencing WiFi issues - constant drop-outs and slow speed even with the camera placed the other side of the wall to my WiFi access point! It was so bad that in the end, I hard-wired it using CAT5 but still find I am experiencing random dropouts (although far less than when it was on WiFi) - the main reason for buying this model was the enhanced aerial! (also have a cheaper IG62 camera which connects by WiFi and is 10x the distance away and through 2 walls - get a rock-solid connection to that one!) Image is also a little disappointing - one side of my picture seems to be very pixalated and lacking detail (the right side in the photo) - contacted support who, although polite, were of little use - after first asking if it had water in it [how could it, it is factory sealed - unlike the cheaper units, you don't have to take it to bits to install an SD card] they then advised that it is 'acceptable' but I should try repositioning my camera to point it to somewhere a bit lighter - erm, ok, all very well but the very slight flaw with that is then it wont cover the area I want it to cover! I know it's not a 5MP camera but again, image quality from the cheaper model is far superior... [Did also raise the WiFi issue with support who basically said it could be my network - erm, did you not read the bit where I explained that another of your cameras 10x the distance away has no issues at all - and, quite frankly, when placed the other side of a wall to an access point, there should really be no issues]... I also have an issue with the colour rendering - it's almost like the IR cut isn't right - the colours just don't 'pop' - purples and greens are a funny shade (they still are purple and green but nothing like the actual colour - again, the cheaper IG62 seems much better in this respect)... Motion detection is pointless - even rain sets it off - yes, I know it's not the easiest of things to do in the processing power you have - but I'm not talking about rain in general - if the rain drops are big enough and are within a couple of feet of the camera, I just get constant alerts to say 'Motion Detected' - ended up switching that off! Night vision does seem good though (allowing for the previous comment re image quality but at night the image wont be as sharp anyway) - the ring of IR LEDS is not particularly noticeable and does give illumination... I find myself in 2 minds - do I return it or keep it? I will probably end up keeping it but will relocate it to cover another (smaller) area and buy a 5MP camera to replace this one (although alas, not an ieGeek one)

A good product.
My need for surveillance is not typical and my review reflects this. I live in a converted Bank (was Natwest) with mirror glass windows to the highstreet. As such, we see everything that goes on out there, except at night. As a move to brighten the view of the Island when Royalty visits, troughs of flowers have been installed. Apart from an egg thrown at Father Christmas a few years ago, crime is rare. However, we have lots of visitors because we are Covid free and they bring crime and bad behaviour with them. As a deterrent, I fitted this camera so it is conspicuous. No one has noticed it... The detection is remarkably efficient. It does record all humans and excludes passing vehicles, dogs and the occasional tumbleweed sized piece of litter. I was impressed. The sound quality during a two way conversation is clear enough to be practical, even though the camera is 10 metres from the door. The sound feature is of no interest to me other than scaring the bejeebers out of children messing about with the flowers. They hear this very loud, God-like voice and that cures them of all mischief. As you will notice from my screen shot, I have angled the camera in an unusual way. I wanted the whole overhanging frontage captured. A normal angle doesn't work. This is not a fault with this camera. Setting up was very simple. The only anxiety I had was, I don't have a WiFi password, it is an open system. The field accepted gobbledegook so problem solved. There were some issues with camera positioning and image delay. I contacted the manufacturer and after providing some info, a firmware fix over the air put matters right. Their response was very prompt and thorough. They sent the firmware fix, it wasn't directly available because it was about to be released, all I had to do was agree to accept it. All issues solved within two days. Great service. The camera was well presented and it had a manual. The instructions might be sufficient but I thought more detail and clarity would be helpful. The app gives me the impression it has been added to and adapted rather than designed. It takes some getting use to and is far from instinctive. None- the- less, it does work well. For the typical user, looking to secure their front door, this will be ideal. In my case, because of the huge number of detections, the battery will last only 10 days before recharging. I have to provide external power to solve this. Not a fault, just a consideration. The app will drain your phone battery. With normal use, my phone lasts 12 hours before a recharge. With the app running in the background, it needs power all day and night so it has power when I am out with it. This will happen with any app that runs continuously, so in a sense, this isn't a fault. I have set up the app on a second old phone and rely on the SD recording to deal with culprits if they cause damage. Also in my case, the constant beep warnings of detection is annoying. This is a quiet street but not as quiet as your front door. I accept the issue as being unavoidable. Image clarity over the frontage means HD has to be used. Typical front door installations will only need SD. Night vision is quite adequate and provides identifiable images. I am pleased with this camera and service.

Great quality camera for the money !
I purchased two of these cameras , one for the front and one for the rear of my house, reviews looked good for these and they were right ! Comes well packaged , with the camera and a network cable , plus screws and rawl plugs for fitting , there is a mini CD behind the foam packing which has a manual an other useful info and programs on it. First connect the camera to your router with the cable and power on. I downloaded both apps Camhi and camhi pro , I preferred the camhi pro app , so kept that one. Set up really easy, remember to change the password for the camera so only you can access it Once set up , disconnect the cable and it will connect via wifi Like others I only needed the power cable through the wall , so a 10mm hole was drilled and I fitted a couple of waterproof boxes from Wickes , to store the unused wires outside on the wall ( wife didn't even notice the boxes there). Then it was a case of adjusting the camera to get the best position , a bit fiddly when on a ladder , but spend time doing it so your happy , the front ca,era was a bit difficult , as due to the angle i needed the aerial base hit the body , but I managed to get there in the end. Look good on the wall and feel sturdy. Oh I forgot you will need a micro sd card to put in them , I bought 2 x 64GB cards When set up take a look at the lovely clear picture on your phone (remember to set to HD in the app for best results). Picture very clear , two way communication if needed and so far I have good reception , even though my router is over the other side of the house the wifi works fine with the camera. I set up email alerts but have turned it off as others have said it is a bit sensitive and in an hour I got 45 emails !! So far very happy with the camera. I have messed around with the PC programme (HiP2P) to adjust /view them but to be fair the app does most of it anyhow Last thing , rear camera is mounted under the eaves which is great , front camera couldn't be and is just on a wall , it does suffer a bit from rain getting on the lens , but thats no fault of the camera , try and fit them with something above if possible. Think I may get one more for the side of my house !!

Great quality pictures
Great quality picture and easy to set up. Only downside is the cable provided to connect solar panel is quite short. Had to buy a longer one so that it could stay charged

Worse camera ever AVOID AVOID AVOID
It’s supposed to be FHD but the picture quality day or night is very poor and blurry and the two way audio works as and when it feels like it. I have had much cheaper cams than this that have 200% better pictures and sound so I am returning this item for a full refund and looking to get something else that will do the job so I would most definitely not recommend this to anyone. !!! UPDATE !!! I was contacted by a customer service representative from iegeek and he explained that they think it was a faulty batch and if I ordered another one it would work as it should so I stupidly sent for one thinking it would be all good ? How wrong I was as the only thing better on this one is the audio works but picture quality is still way below 1080 HD. As you can see from the pictures I have put up there is very little difference between SD and HD in picture quality and keep in mind her stable window is only 15ft away from the camera yet HD quality is very poor and blurry and if you look at the hay / straw and patterns on them they are not clear at all. The last picture I put up was taken from the black camera I put up to show you all. It was much cheaper yet picture quality was so much better as you can see so much more detail on that little camera so in hindsight I should have stuck with that one as it did work spot on day or night. I stand by my original review on this camera because the second one has only confirmed how bad it really is. I was offered this with a 50% off discount code and my money back if I was not happy ( I have this in writing ) but I am not going to bother as it’s more trouble than it’s worth so I am going to Chalk this down to experience a bad one!!! . I am leaving this up till next week as I have decided to have a hardwired camera put in that does work the way to should then this is going in the bin with the rest of the rubbish. The iegeek customer service representative said they appreciate realistic feedback so I am leaving a very honest realistic feedback review of this item as I am not even trying to get my money back from them as it’s not worth my time and effort as I have better things to do so to sum up I would strongly recommend that you have a good look around and do your research before you buy as more expensive doesn’t guarantee quality!!!!!!!

Good item but not great!
This camera has lots of the bell and whistles of some more expensive cameras, but not the price. It was certainly with the gamble as the picture quality (day and night) is admirable, and the sound is picked up well enough. The cosmetic design is also quite relevant and sleek, and will look quite nice on most homes. Unfortunately, the battery life and quality is not quite as I'd have expected. If you need a camera that is very actively placed in high human traffic areas, then the movement detection will drain the battery quickly. But it doesn't pick up car movement on that particular setting. So some people might like to set it so that it is on permanently, and recharge the device on a regular basis. There are a few other positive aspects within the settings, such as: the area selection for motion detection, easy set-up process, and the talk function to communicate with visitors when you're not home.

Great Product
Good motion detection and features. Battery life an average last 10days after charging. Nice size and fits well on the outside wall.
