If you are building a shower pan from scratch, this is everything you need. I have used all of these products at different times so it’s nice to have them sold as a kit. Instead of using the extra sticks I just used the cut off pieces from the sides on the endeds (see the picture). Worked perfect. This was the first time using their prepitch curb and it turned out really well. Everything about this kit is pretty much dummy proof. I suggest using the quikrete sand/topping mix for the shower floor project. I would also suggest a floor drain that you can screw up and down before tiling in order to get your drain height perfect.

Takes the guess work out of building shower pan bases. Very easy system to use. Comes with everything you need to pre pitch and pre slope your shower pan. I built a 34 x 60 shower with kit and had plenty left if i had wanted a 36 x 60. Would diffently buy again.

For a typical new shower (5x3'), this kit needs multiple add-ons that are not obvious. I thought I'd purchased what I needed in a $200 "Extended Kit" only to find - in the middle of the project - that I needed to order another $36 extended kit to finish the pre-pitch and then learned that I'd need yet another $40 kit to finish the base for tiling - a total cost for all three kits of almost $300. Very expensive way to go when there are complete shower basins available for much less.

The original shower in my house isn't a standard size. As I was exploring my options, I ran across this product. I decided to order the kit with extra pre-pitch and quick-pitch sticks after watching a few videos.I will admit that I was skeptical at first. I was also nervous that I was going to really screw up something. Let me tell you, I am so happy that I took the plunge. This system was so easy to use. The shower pan looks great! I hired a plumber to install a new shower manifold. When he looked at the shower pan, he said that it looked great and was well built.I would recommend this goof proof shower system to anyone, even a first time DIYer. I would definitely use this again the next time I need to rebuild a shower.

This was my fourth shower floor installation, but the first time using this kit. I have to say the kit saved my life and hours of back pain. I would highly recommend especially if you are not a full time professional.

Great product, a must for a DIY’er! My dad and I used this as we had never put a shower pan in before. The instructions were clear and everything was easy to put into place. I will say that you need to make sure your sand and cement mixture is wet enough or you’ll be tearing it back up like we did but was able to reuse the parts. Love this kit. It does what it says-gives you a guide to create a perfect pitch for your shower floor. We have used this product before but we found buying it from Amazon was the best value. It is easy to install and stays in place while applying your mortar bed.
