Brock Biology of Microorganisms, Global Edition

This is a first class textbook, highly respected by students, teachers and researchers. The topic of post genomics is well covered as are newly discovered diseases. The coverage of viruses is a little disappointing, but I guess that is because it is still a bit uncertain where viruses fit into microbiology. A very good read, well laid out and with some great photos and illustrations.

Looks excellent, readable, micrographs and illustrations all excellent. Questions throughout the text to check comprehension and lots of end of chapter questions. But there are no answers. None in the book. None on the internet. I returned it soley for this reason. *ALL* pearson text books are the same. Unless you are enrolled into a class with a school/college/institution/etc its pointless buying their books as the resources you need (ie the answers to the questions etc) just are not available.
