The jars were fine ,it was the no name lids that were bad. I had read reviews of no name lids bubbling up and that is exactly what these did. At least 5 lids did this so 5 jars of applesauce had to be processed a second time.

Fill only to 1-1.5" from top. Use non-metal lids for long term freezing. Thaw only the single serve you need. Thaw before heating in microwave.

Jelly

The jars are Ball but the lids and screwbands are not! I could not get the lids and screwbands to go back on jars. They were really tight to get off. Thank goodness I had ball lids and screwbands within reach as I was packing my pickles!

The lids are not Ball brand. They rusted during the canning process. Half the jars did not seal. The lids actually bent in 4 places. Half my batch was brand name Ball and the other half were these. ALL the Ball jars sealed were 25% of these jar lids sealed. All jars were the same pickles! Same head space in each jar. All canned in the same batch. These are also 2x the price of the Ball jars from Target. The glass might be original so if you have Ball lids the jars may work. I have not tried yet.

I bought these cause they were a better price than Others, but will never do it again! When using them in water bath the lids showed a definite buckle and did not seal. In the batch I am doing now, 2 out if 4 did this. Major bummer!
