This thing is pretty amazing I have to say - I wish I took some before and after photos, but hats come out substantially cleaner and brighter! This is such a simple invention, but it works perfectly. Only complaint would be the closure latch, it is a bit cheaply made and doesn't secure fully all the time. But don't let that deter you - if you want a great option to clean hats in the dishwasher, get this product!

I tried washing a hat in the dishwasher as described. However it left residue under the sweat band, which could be from the type of soap used. It also didn't clean the hat very well (it was pretty dirty with sweat stains).I have since hand-washed my ballcaps with a liquid dish soap and air-dried them outside while in this cage. This method seems to work for me as I can target the stained and dirty areas. The cage ensures the hats don't dry warped.

Tried it twice 1 star per use lol, threw in trash not worth the hassle of returning. Here's a tip, wash your hat in the clothes washer because it's really good at that and then use a steamer and a ball or minimelon or something and shape it back. Done, looks like new from store. This is a stupid product

It's durable enough to go into the laundry with the rest of my clothes and doesn't wreck my clothes but it pops open in the front a lot and the cap then just rolls around with my laundry out of the cage so I either put zip ties or a string and tie it shut and it stopped doing it since then.

Super simple little contraption but it works wonders. I was always afraid of ruining my boyfriend's hats in the washing machine so I literally never washed them. A friend of mine mentioned something along these lines and it really does protect your hats well. Quality is good and I haven't had any problems thus far.
