High Quality
High quality steel. Used them mostly on cardboard. I think these are good throwing knives to start out with.

So far so good. I love them.
Very well made knives. I've only been throwing for about 6 months. I find these knives to be great. Great for training. The only modification I made was I removed the paracord and wrapped with athletic tape to keep down the noise. So far the tips seem strong throwing into homemade Target of 2x6s.

Good sturdy set of throwing knives
SOG blades are big hunks of steel with serious weight behind them. These are only sharp on the point, the edges are not sharp. The blade profiles are more like a tomahawk with their width and weight. Excellent balance and they throw really well. I was skeptical about the nylon cord wrapped around them but it doesn't seem to impact my throw. If you want to throw something heavy with a lot of impact and penetration, these are a good value for the money. Solid, sturdy enough to withstand the newbie mistakes, and with more heft than many blades being sold....I enjoy tossing these a lot.

Great Knives!
I purchased these knives 1.5 months ago and I had to come back and write this review. I've tried other knives and these knives are my favorite. The length, weight, and balance of the are perfect. I like the amount of pressure applied once it sticks to my wooden target. I've thrown these knives at least 1,000 times and because of that, there was normal wear and tear in which I had to replace the paracord handle but that's not a knock on the quality of this product... like I said, it was normal wear and tear. Great knives and would buy again.

Nice swords... yes, they are big.
Ordered these throwers and I have to say, the shipping was quick, received them packaged nicely, though the SOG box was broken, no biggie, it's a box, but I;'m a stickler for details, again, I'll let it slide. I didn't realize that these knives were meant to fend off Godzilla, yeah, they're much bigger than any other throwing knife I own. I'm not complaining, I mean, it's plausible that during the Zombie Apocalypse, that perhaps we may have to fend off a Zombie Godzilla, or Dr. Gori. I've seen some people complaining about the fact that they aren't made of the "advertised" steel, but I think that's just a whiner who is pissed that he paid too much, after-all, he admitted to buying them elsewhere, so why would he come to this sellers page to review? Sad, disingenuous people. regardless, even if these weren't made of that steel, they're large, like regular sized knives, and they're THICK, these would go into an intruder without any issues what-so-ever. I'm pretty damn certain that they'd penetrate Godzilla's scaly skin as well. I recommend these, good seller, good product, good defense, oh, and the sheath is very well crafted & I really dig the para cord wrapped handles. Cheers!

they’re ok...
they’re decent I guess. I have a couple problems with them though. First is the paracord wrapping. It looks cool but, it’s horrible to have on a throwing knife. Most ways require the knife to be able to slide out of your hand and the paracord crates drag and makes it way more difficult. Second is they’re extremely wide, if your new to throwing, it’s really hard to practice technique because it’s so much harder to stick these unless your using 50% or more throwing power. Other than that they are pretty good. I like the heft they have, they feel solid and you can really put some power behind them when you throw.

to the people who complain they're not sharp enough => throwing knives do not need to be sharp .. if your throwing knives need be sharp you might want to adjust your process. i experience i,ve found sharp throwers to slice fingers with nary an improvement in technique or aim the paracord => this is a great steel for throwing. it is very soft. unless you,re an ,ace,' you,re going to want to keep that sheath on. when you inevitably (and sometimes repetitively) ding the one with the other, that paracord is going going to save your edges from some shredding ps: you,re going to find yourself in need of more paracord quickly' but don,t worry' you can braid that stuff into bracelets and they say you can,t use it for rock climbing but really' what do ,,they,, know?

Honestly the paracord is a bit annoying. The color blends with grass and bushes, and the knot can be bothersome with some throws. But it is very easy to take off or exchange. It could be a tad more pointy. Otherwise well balanced and looking great. The sheath is really good quality too. Worth the money.

Good quality, little heavy and bulky.

Good balance and shape. The grip has to be revised.
